Definitely made the play-offs and pretty sure they lost to Donny Rovers in the final.
-
Leeds got to the play-off final. That'll do for me next season! edit: Oh and if Rotherham had only started this season on -10 they probably would have been promoted automatically.
-
Said that after last season. How wrong I was!!
-
Let's face it you've got plenty of time on your hands. Just winding you up!!
-
It's because we have become so accustomed to the bunch of amateurs, we've had over many years, that when there is an actual professional (albeit a bit of a barrow-boy) doing the job, one can not fail to be impressed.

It wouldn't be Stephen Urquhart, who's President of Omega and senior Board Member of the Swatch Group? He's got joint UK and Swiss citizenship and the UK arm is based in Eastleigh (who donated the stadium clock)? :smt102 You see Trousers? Anyone can do this conspiracy theory stuff!! Simples!!

League deduct 10 Points - Will apply in L1 Next Season
krissyboy31 replied to Danny's topic in The Saints
You could always appeal! -
Doesn't make it right though. The deadline should be the deadline, therefore any punishment should take affect next season. Stay up and we're minus 10 in the Championship, go down and we're minus 10 in League 1.

You can stick your points deduction up your @rse (sideways)!

Just went on the OS for the official view. Not even on!! -
Frankie Bunn scored 6 of 7 for Oldham (v Scarborough) in the League Cup on their plastic pitch, on their way to the Final 1989/90 season. (Pre Premiership but they were a Div 1 club at the time and founder members of the Prem).

I would imagine it's more about 'green' credentials and integrated transport plan (political agenda) than getting bums on seats. -

I presume it refers to reports (about 6 months ago) that the local authorities and the likes of the Hythe Ferry co. and Blue Funnel were looking into the feasibility of starting a river taxi service from various points along Southampton Water/The Hamble/The Test and The Itchen. -
I've been to two. Donny and Wolves. Pretty easy to work out what the best and the worst was from those.

So the Blue Square has rejected us and now we're looking to join the SPL?

This is the problem. The monies donated now could just be going into a black hole, never to be seen again. It may keep the club operating, throughout the summer, it may not! Whichever way you look at it, I doubt you'll ever see that money again. The club could have put up a scheme that a £1,000 debenture now, would guarantee a free ST for the next 3 years (and I think many fans would be up for that) but you would need the administrator to ensure that any new owner would honour the deal.

Yes but if this means a revamp of the Trust, allowing all fans to become members, all get a vote or indeed the chance to stand for office, then if the majority don't like his policies etc. they can vote him out.

New CEO took over this week. Probably going Dutch.

Just thought I bump this thread because Jim Magilton has been sacked by Ipswich despite beating Norwich at the weekend.

Agree 100%. There are always going to be the anti-Crouch, the anti-Illingsworth and anti-Chorley brigade, who will not unite behind any of them. Nobody can deny their passion for the club but giving any of them a pivotal role, would not work. -
I believe Ken Bates lives in Monaco.
-
Neither of them would if they went up via the playoffs but I reckon both would jump at the chance if they don't. And yes, at League 1 level, we ARE a MASSIVE club.
-
Nigel Adkins at Scu nthope or Ronnie Moore at Tranmere would be good choices IMO. Both know the Division and have had success at that level.

SFC in its 125th year - your aspirations
krissyboy31 replied to Frank's cousin's topic in The Saints
IMO style in League 1 goes out of the window. We need winning football! If anything this season has told us is that you don't get points for artistic impression. Never in my wildest nightmares, when I was watching the centenary game, at the Dell v Everton, did I think we would face playing our 125th year anniversary game in the 3rd tier of English football but at least if we do, it will mean that we will have survived.
