I don't believe that for one second. What Fry may have said is that there was (at the time) no formal bid on the table and therefore Jackson, if he got his in first, would be well placed to win (because there was no guarantee there would be any further bids). However, it would be completely unethical to discuss other bids with a potential bidder and telling them they're in pole position.

I'm glad there is more than one option for Saints and from what I have seen and heard of Mark Fry and his people, he certainly is not stupid. He will know what the best bid is and award the contract accordingly.
