So a CVA1 creditor owed £10,000 would be awaiting a cheque in the post of £33.60? That is mind-bogglingly criminal.

Good move for him, if he gets regular games he will be a very useful prem standard centre back in 2-3 years time. Personally, I really rate him and it wouldn't surprise me if he made the England team one day.

Heard a rumour today about us possibly looking at Danny Murphy. Nothing definite but sounds plausible to me.

Anyone consider the possibility of rather than a double white stripe in the middle it may just be normal alternate stripes, meaning one white sleeve one red? Might look really lop sided and wrong or could look really smart.

I went to Bilbao a few years ago. Having a chat to a local, I mentioned I was from Southampton and he told me that they wear red and white stripes because of Southampton. Pretty sure I remember seeing Southampton mentioned in the club shop at the San Mames somewhere too. It makes sense for there to be links between the cities due to the maritime tradition and geographic proximity.

According to Wiki its not ready until 2014 so you'll have the next season or two at least.

I watched them thrash Valencia about 4 years ago. By far and away the best atmosphere I've experienced at football. The whole stadium was jumping from start to finish, basically an excuse for 40,000 people to go absolutely mental. Its a really cool stadium too, close to the pitch, steep sides with a Wembley style arch. Tip for buying tickets, don't try speaking spanish, nobody in Bilbao speaks normal spanish, just gesture, point and smile. Something about that club really resonates with the atmosphere we've had as a club for the past few years, fans really getting behind players who play for the shirt, young players, no egos, team ethics...oh and red and white stripes.

I'm in my second season with Salisbury, shocking squad high wages so its been a right old slog. Managed to sneak them into the conference South playoffs with a great run in my last 10 or so games and that form carried me through to promotion quite comfortably in the end, beating Welling 3-0 in the final. This season has been very difficult, never really had to fight a relegation battle on FM before. After 14 games I'm 19th but I've got some tough games coming up and the bottom 4 are all within 2 points. At the end of this season I've got a load of contracts expiring so that will give me the chance to get rid of the deadwood and bring in some quality if I dont get sacked by then.

I know you're saying that sarcastically but to a large degree its probably true. I wonder how many potentially brilliant footballers the world has missed out on because individuals have turned to more gay friendly professions. If you're a gay bloke, why would you want to take all the abuse in football when you could just become a hairdresser or whatever and nobody would care less?

At what point has this thread been a load of blokes creaming themselves over a kit like some seem to want to make out? What the kit looks like is reasonably interesting enough for quite a few people that its worth a bit of discussion and speculation. No one is wetting themselves though

Just seems strange that someone has gone to the effort to mess around with the ball and the removing the flower. Probably nothing in it but then we won't know until the kit is released unless the club issue a statement saying 'the badge is definitely not changing'. Which isn't going to happen.

Just pathetic. I read this forum in the vain hope that somebody might have actually posted something either interesting or entertaining, Deppo wasn't too great at the former but was definitely the funniest poster on here. This is a major sense of humour failure on the part of the admins and there are plenty of posters who bring nothing of value to this forum and just want to pick fights to make themselves look hard, Deppo on the other hand made many dull threads worth reading. Presumably every post on this thread after Baj's 'final say' is now worth an infraction on the grounds of them being 'pointless/sarcastic remarks' that aren't going to change the decision? Not really, thats life. It bothers me that Southampton FC are producing the best quality product in the most cost effective way. That applies to everything from players to programmes.

The location of the printing company that does the matchday programme really isn't very high on my list of things to care about. In any case its probably cheap labour down there, what with them being used to getting ripped off by the skates.
