  1. It's like the last few moments on the decks of the titanic. It's all starting to fall apart.
  2. I know. I had a blonde moment. Apologies !
  3. Thanks. What poor odds. Tie it in with some kind of accumulator might be best including who we will play in the play off final.
  4. I cannot find on any of the main bookies websites any odds for Saints going up via the playoffs. Anyone got any idea what odds I could get ?
  5. I think that it's because they already have the winding up petition hanging over them and due to be heard on 1 March. Its out of the director's hands now and up to the Courts.
  6. I agree. They bought players they couldn't afford and now want to offload them after the transfer window has shut all because they were greedy. Apparently its not up to the FA to allow them to do this but up to FIFA. If that's the case they will be well and truly ****ed because I am sure that FIFA would like to make an example of an English Club. For them to even need to be asking for this confirms that they have no investment in place. They must be teetering on the edge now.
  7. There was nothing else to point out ! "You are" or "you're" by the way Back to school Danny boy
  8. If you're going to insult people then at the very least learn how to spell.
  9. What I was responding to Stu was your comment that the rivalry "was known across the country". That's where I think you're wrong. I don't disagree that locally in Hampshire it is very fierce and the hatred runs deep but across the country no-one gives two ****s about us.
  10. When you have to start insulting people you've lost the argument.
  11. Wrong there Stu. I live up in the Midlands and have mates who are fans of clubs up North and in London and none of them think that Saints/Pompey is anything special at all. Not even on their radars. They see it as a bit of a soft southern affair compared to Villa/Brum, Liverpool/Everton, Man U/Man C or Newcastle/Sunderland
  12. Great to have Hammond back. Those who had raised one or two questions as to whether we were getting the best out of him only had to see his first half on Saturday and then as he faded in the second half from the lack of recent matches because of injury, we also faded as a team. No coincidence there. He is very important to us as is Connolly if we can get him back.
  13. Great to see that common sense has broken out today on this board. Even Glasgow Saint is now giving him until Christmas ! We are all having one big love in after the weekend's showing against the blue few.
  14. "Portsmouth chief executive Peter Storrie and his wife were attacked" No they were not. They had bank notes waved in their faces. They were not "attacked". They obviously left just after the final whistle. Not very sensible in itself.
  15. It was a football match nobby. Would you be "..up for it.." if we arranged to ship you and the saddos on some of the videos off to Afghanistan ? I suspect not.
  16. Because this time tomorrow we're going to be winning 1-0 and they will be losing 1-0
  17. i'm being a bit thick. Are you talking about this being actually in the ground ? i.e. between the fans so we can't see them from the side ?
  18. It is just putting off the ineviatble but the Judge would have been very aware today of the media spotlight on this. This would be back covering on his part so that he/the Court can say that Pompey were given every opportunity. Before today I thought Pompey would be ok but knowing very well how the law works, the 7 day period with the hearing on 19 February, says everything you need to know. Unless they can go back to Court next week with a definite promise of investment showing how they will pay their creditors I seriously believe that they are going out of existence. Its actually very sad. We want them to suffer badly but we dont want them gone completely.
  19. I'm a lawyer, not an insolvency lawyer, but speaking with insolvency colleagues this looks like bad **** for Pompey. They are essentially going to have to prove to the Court by next Wednesday that they are able to pay their debts. They've been given a 7 day reprieve and no more. Normally you get 28 days but the Court obviously considers this to be a basket case. In other words they need a buyer in 7 days otherwise it really does look as if they will go bust. If they did go bust next week and we lost to them at the weekend, I assume that we would then be given a bye into the FACup QF.
  20. Darren - I have a very good mate and their little girl was born at 26 weeks. Now 8 years later you'd never know ! It took her 3 or 4 years to catch up with her mates as they had a 14 week headstart but now she's as tall and running faster than most of the rest of them. All the very best. She'll be fine.
  21. thats about the 5th time youve said this tonight you dullard
  22. I think that this is the real question. If we do not reach the play offs is that the end of Pardew ? I would hope that is not the case and Pardew would be given until Christmas next season at the very least. We dont want to be going down the route of regularly sacking managers. The stats clearly show that the clubs who can bear with a manager and give him time, ultimately succeed.
  23. Go on your own man - I am. We are all one big collective group of mates on Saturday against the blue few.
  24. I know - a bit rough and ready but the chap at the ticket office reckons that they will sell about 20,000 in linked sales on top of the pompey tickets already sold and the tickets sold to ST holders over the past few days. Well over £1.2 mill in ticket sales arising from the way they've sold this game
