  1. Even the North Koreans would find this Pro Newcastle coverage a bit biased and over the top.
  2. As our best goal threat is JWP free kicks, a fast winger who hopefully can dribble well may be a pretty effective player.
  3. I think the switch to 1 at top has made striker less of a priority for club. Adams first choice and Mara/Armstrong backups. Instead a wider player who provides goals may be considered more important.
  4. I did see one steward stopping a few Man U fans coming in in Kingsland, think the kid was wearing a United shirt. One of fans called the steward Hitler before storming off after Steward said she was following policy. Looks like this policy wasn’t followed elsewhere.
  5. Proper gutsy win, two CHEmendous goals. Love the fight and character shown by new signings, ABK absolutely immense.
  6. The new striker Wilkinson certainly doesn't lack ambition! Shooting from miles out.
  7. Good draw that, have had some fun visits to the Abbey.
  8. In a way it's a shame we have Broja from Chelsea so can't loan another player from them. Otherwise Marcus Betternelli would have been perfect. More recent playing experience than other options and still in prime of career.
  9. Agreed. Surounded by Saints or ex saints at National level and at Sampdoria so plenty of people to recommend a move.
  10. Heard yesterday, the last time England lost to Scotland, Wales and Ireland in same five nations/six nations rugby tournament was 1976.... Let’s hope for repeat of 1976 in Fa Cup as well.
  11. We have tried that quick free kick before this season. A good ref would have prepared and not faffed around turning his back on play.
  12. In many ways worse than Tuesday.. Absolutely dreadful.
  13. He does and played as an attacking fullback for Wigan as well.
  14. Anyone know anything about Watts and Tchaptet?
  15. Romeu against Leicester to use his experience and strength against Maddison. Diallo for Leeds, which will require extra mobility. It is fantastic to have three brilliant options which is needed in a congested season.
  16. Everton have wasted so much money over last few years and still end up with Tom Davies and Iwobi as wing backs. Appallingly mismanaged.
  17. Well, not sure on paper, but football isn't all about stats and facts. I will enjoy seeing Theo back and this could come off. Welcome home Threeooo Walcott.
  18. Two fantastic goal saving challenges tonight. I have watched him a lot recently and really think he deserves a chance next season. I feel a lot of people will be judging him based on the player he was when Koeman first gave him the debut. He has improved a lot since then and would really suit our style.
  19. I think we need another central midfielder to replace Hojberg, but he is a better option than Romeu. RB and CB the real priorities to upgrade.
  20. Harrison Reed looking really good v Leeds. Winning the ball back a lot and sharp 1 or 2 touch passing. Definitely worth a squad place next season at minimum.
  21. Saw him play a few weeks ago v Cambridge. Powerful player but technically he is going to have to improve a lot if he is to make it at Premiership level, poor first touch and didn't link up well with his teammates. However he clearly knows where the goal are and 6 in 11 for a poor Yeovil side is very impressive.

I agree the atmosphere needs to be improved but yet to see any evidence that blasting out loud music in the build up has made it any better. We have 10 minutes of nobody being able to hear a thing and bellowing at the person next to them to get heard. The music then stops, people briefly clap and chant as players come out before moaning when the first pass is misplaced. One person in our area summed it up when the music stopped playing said 'Thank god that has stopped, now we can have a bit of peace and quiet'. The music doesn't even have any real relevance to the club or fit any chants. The goal montages are excellent, if slightly irritating as it reminds us how few goals we have seen now and always enjoy the Saints Are Coming. Personally, I would keep the goal montages with a bit quieter music, transition into music that can be chanted along with or made into a chant, Sweet Caroline, Hey Jude.. then Saints are Coming as they come onto pitch.
  23. I don't think we would be excited if we did sign him but this is a 4th choice squad player, our options are never going to be that exciting. Can we a realistically find a better option to fill that backup role? Not sure we can myself but hopefully we are working on something because going into the season with Austin injury record, Long's poor recent form and Gabbi is a gamble imo.
  24. I am not sure how much there is more for him to learn at that level and I would rather if he want out on loan, he went to a club/manager with a track record of improving players. Not convinced that Birmingham will be pushing for promotion this season with their current squad.
