  1. I rather suspect that a health club with fields and tennis courts will be the way forward. Run on a private basis with access to the public granted. Happened at my local one. Redevelopment is the key. Secured debts are what? £30-50m. HMRC will insist on full payment and if they do, so will everyone else. So if the figured for secured is too high, maybe accurate for total. So two options. PFC get docked 20points over CVA. Relegation and still secured creditors to pay. Other option (IMO most likely) is liquidation. Chainrai let's ground rot for a couple of years, pressures council to push through planning and walks away with a profit.
  2. Now that Chainrai has stripped the last asset (the ground) he finds himself in a no lose situation. If the club gets bought (£60m is a lot for nothing but I guess that's inflation) he rents the ground back. If PFC liquidate then he can redevelop the ground and gets the money back that way.
  3. " ‘Mr Chainrai has written off £10m of his own money with a possibility of getting it back over the next 10 or 15 years. It is a very, very honourable thing to do.’ " Like he has any other option. Spin.
  4. Why does anyone need to undertake due diligence? The statement of affairs delivered to court is as good as DD. Someone saying that they are undertaking it is a red herring and to me it is being done by a mate of Storrie's so that he can come out of it smelling of roses. He can say someone was lined up but the courts didn't give enough time so not his fault. So blame courts/HMRC and not him.
  5. what money. they haven't paid us yet!
  6. Lifted from a Skate forum, which rather means that they can't take the "easy" route of administration. According to this voluntary administration is not possible ""An administrator of a company may not be appointed under paragraph 22 if— (a) a petition for the winding up of the company has been presented and is not yet disposed of," page 324 of link...http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/insolvencyprofessionandlegislation/legislation/uk/insolvencyact.pdf
  7. Cardiff will be ok. The council have let them sell some land and this and a supporters bond will cover things. Not sure about Southend Pompey belonging to 250k. Is he really trying to say that P'mouth is too big not to have a team and that it is part of society. If so maybe he should google biggest towns without a football club and he will see that Pompey come way down the list. Admin would be good. Liquidation would be sad.
  8. Sacha wants to get something out of it. Liquidation = loss of £28m. Administration = loss of nearly as much. He takes the ground off the books, becomes the landlord of Pompey, and he writes off some/all his debt. Chainrai won't like that cos he has sweet FA to make any money on. Can't see it happening and I guess Gaydamak knows the end is nigh.
  9. do they have to pay BEFORE Wednesday and then claim it back if found in their favour, or can they go to court, have the ruling stand and then produce a brown envelope or two stuffed with £50s?
  10. are you sure that's it? HMRC have already said that they aren't happy and have closed them down but the judge left room to appeal, which is what's happening on Wednesday. If the judge says that the original ruling stands then that's it. However, a deal can be done out of court with HMRC in the next couple of days. Can new "evidence" (so to speak) be introduced in court on Wednesday?
  11. think it could be a case out of the frying pan and into the fire.
  12. I think that Shiniwatra was behind the Faraj lot but that was rumbled very quickly.
  13. They supposedly have ANOTHER owner - possibly http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=424&fid=203&sty=2&act=1&mid=2122950991
  14. decision to be struck out by High Court
  15. Pompey need the £7m or some of it to no doubt pay the January wage bill. Without it I can't see where they are going to borrow more from.
  16. I like Hoegaarden and had a very nice bottle of it last night. Better than Stella and about on par with Leffe. It used to be better before InBev moved the factory. Never could quite work out why they changed it from 5% to 4.9%
  17. announcement tomorrow. presume ban has not been lifted otherwise it would have come out somewhat sooner to allow them to rebuild their "squad". But I really cannot see anyone even contemplating signing for them. Why would you if you are not going to get paid? If anyone does then they will have to be bribed with big wages, and Pooey don't have the money for that. And no club/agent is going to do anything without cash up front are they. Smoke and mirrors.
  18. Hang on a mo. I thought Pompey's current owner is a billionaire just like the owner before that (who still has 10% of the company). So while we only have the one, they seem to have had 2 billionaires this season already. Just waiting for a 3rd to come along.
  19. if that is the case, then I am not sure Storrie would still be around, unless he is f***ing stupid, blind, ignorant etc etc. But it does make sense, as where has the money raised from the players sold in the summer gone to? It doesn't seem to have lessened the overall debt, so that might tie in with your thoughts. But why would Storrie be upset that one Arab bought it over his preferred choice, or is this all a front as well? And where does the Hong Kong guy fit into all of this? Has he just p***ed away £15m? If HMRC think that this is happening, I imagine that they will freeze the "assets" of the club, at least until they get paid, whether there is a court hearing in February or not.
  20. I do have to side with Gaydamak. He financed this FA Cup victory which seems to have caused all the problems, and when he realised that his pockets were not deep enough, he sold it to someone that he thought might be able to take things forward. Storrie criticised him for not selling to his preferred backer, which in hindsight seems that Gaydamak was more on the ball than the rest. Having said that, the Arab that he sold to seems to be equally useless. But that is not the point. He sold his business as a going concern (?!) and it seems that he has not been paid for it, and it seems chances are that he won't be either. Reading between the lines, I presume that he has looked to get reassurances that he will be repaid, but no one is answering the telephone. Now if that was me, I would be mighty p***ed off about that and would look to recover anything that I could. I am not sure that many businessmen would be happy to write off £28m to some, what might appear to be, nefarious "characters".
  21. give 'em a break - it's a very long way to travel in the dark.
  22. This is better for the over 60s not sure how old she is here, but over 40 but then she did start off pretty good. She's now pushing 70 (next year) which might be a wee bit too old.
  23. Not necessarily. While you are of course right that fees are usually paid over a period of time, this is not always the case. ManU asked Real Madrid for all payment up front with Ronaldo. I imagine that a club in dire straits like Watford would have asked for payment on a much shorter term than the norm as well. It is a contract and there are no set terms.
  24. I presume that the Arab fellas haven't called him in, so does this mean that Gaydamak can't be paid by the Arabs so has sent his own man in to get his money? Not a good move for Pompey I dwouldn't have though. Gaydamak has been quite patient really - while no doubt Pompey think he is a bit of a ****, he did sell something that he owned and he hasn't been paid for it. I would want my money quick smart.
  25. LOL I was going to post Diane Lane...Ever since seeing her in those tight trousers in Judge Dredd...........
