cup of filter coffee (usual week day breakfast) but today: 1 croissant - cut in half and a fried egg and rasher of smoked bacon put on top. kids ate the remaining croissants so had to go for a bit of toast to go with the second egg and bacon.

No - Typhoon.
-
Saw it at B'mouth last year. Can confirm that it is loud but the Typhoon was louder. Also think that the F-111 was even louder than both
-
wouldn't have thought so.

You have to laugh really - Tommy Smith's move to QPR hasn't been allowed because of an admin error. What bunch of amateur clowns are running the Phew?

Not sure that they are really going for it. I do think that Chainrai probably wants to put in the minimum to secure his investment and see how well they do this season. If they get relegated then he will find it harder to offload the club and that must be avoided at all costs. If they get into the play offs it will show that the club is more attractive or, God forbid, if they manage to get promoted (which they won't) then he is rolling in it. If they do get promoted in the next 5 years, I would hope that a judge would look at things retrospectively and order certain payments to creditors (above and beyond the joke extra 5%), but I guess there is about as much chance of this happening as pigs flying.

The might both be close to water, but one is (I imagine as I haven't the experience) enjoyable while the other is forgettable.

Al thanks for the link. Great site as shutter lag is the one think that pi**es the Mrs off more than anything else. My A230 is 0.194-0.107 which I do like. I guess all DSLRs are quicker. Mrs wants a compact that is really simple to use. I have a Kodak M530 (or something like that) which is a pretty terrible camera and I was going to give to my daughter. I had thought about a Lumix but see that on then FS25 shutter lag is over 1 sec!!!!! I will definitely look at that site before buying her anything.

Hmmmm. Embargo to be lifted. Well that's nice for them. What a way to run a company. Being told you were insolvent by a judge, to then being let off the hook by another judge who lets you wipe out £80m odd of debt so that you can go on your merry way and one man (the owner to be) can make money at the expense of everyone else. What I did find interesting in another article on the News was: I am a little confused, but I presume he is referring to Chainrai. Has Chainrai actually taken over or is he still waiting for approval?? And it is nice to see that they took scant regard of the embargo that was placed on them and carried on trading as if nothing had happened. I was thinking that it would be a shame if they were liquidated just for a block of flats to rise from the ashes. But now I really wouldn't care if that happened. Good luck to the supporters, but I hope Chainrai and Android get really badly shafted.

can't wait for my contract on my iPhone 3gS to end as I am off as soon as possible to a machine whose primary function is a telephone rather than a computer. iPhones may be OK in cities, but as soon as you get a wee bit into the sticks it is a pile of steaming horse ****.

One thing that they haven't mentioned, is that neither Pardew nor the LMA have said anything about the sacking. Which rather suggests that there has been agreement reached about non-disclosure of what has happened. This is usually to the benefit of the employee.

Might have to get the Mrs a new camera. What I find annoying with these smaller ones is by the time you press the button, about a minute has passed. Does the Nex3/5 take photos as quickly as a DSLR?
-
believe that the new one (as in the Touareg etc) is chain.

about to bin a sofa (I think depending if the wife lets me) as well as a pink lazyboy (don't ask!!!!). Probably a little bit out of your way as I am towards X'church.

I recently had to buy a new DSLR. I originally had a Sony Alpha 100 which I then bought a Tamron Aspherical 18-250 lens. The Alpha 100 broke down but as the lens was Sony specific I had to buy another one and went for the Alpha 230. Looked on the internet and the cheapest was £269 from Argos. One extra that makes a huge difference is a proper flash and I will be asking for one for my birthday. The A230 is well received by experts as one of the better and valued DSLR for beginners

Phew - so that's Ince and Zola out then . They have small names.
-
I thought that this was supposed to be accompanied by some sort of WOW FACTOR. All the names being mentioned as the favourite 2 or 3 (plus Zola) are distinctly un-wowish.

Strange - last night I dreamed I had won £10k on the premium bonds and woke the Mrs up at 3.30am to tell her so. For some reason Jurgen Klinsmann keeps popping into my head....!

£60 for 4 visits ain't bad. Mine was cheaper. My neighbour (a neurotic American married to a frog) called the pest control team in. It was getting a little silly - I was sitting on the bench having a quiet ciggy to hear rustling above my head. Grabbed a broom and gave it a swing and downed the rat. PS - if it is yr decking then you are liable to pay. I think that if you can prove it is someone else causing the problem then they are liable to pay
