  1. Grand Prix is on, and it's wet. Maybe more interesting.
  2. Utter crap, but if we lose, I hope it helps send Everton down.
  3. Personally think that was one of the most spineless displays I have ever seen. I posted that on twatter, and the response was "have you just started supporting Saints this season?"!! Sure there have been plenty of abject performances, but yesterday had something different about it. Anyway, I did something I've never done before, and left very early - after the 5th goal. I managed to get home for the National.
  4. Looking back through to see the idiotic predictions that most supporters seem to like to give.......
  5. Do you think he gets that when he plays for Albania?
  6. Agree with this. As we are all armchair experts, IMO he either goes back to CFC or out on loan - not sold. Question might be would CFC want to loan him to us, or would they want to loan to an overseas club playing in Euro competitions? Would EU clubs in Euro comps want to have him on loan for a year rather than a permanent? Ball is firmly in Chelsea's court but suspect that they will not want to get rid of him. They were pretty adamant they wouldn't sell to us over the summer, so he is in their plans. But I guess everyone has their price - just can't see CFC selling to Arsenal. I guess it also depends on how grounded he is. Far too many young players find themselves attracted to the bright lights of a big club, to end up warming a bench. Of course in this case it is slightly different, as he has a 5 year contract with CFC already and is coming the other way to get experience. As I said earlier he's 20 and got a decande and a half in front of him. A year or two more out on loan becoming much more polished wouldn't do him any harm (and he has that luxury of the long term contract).
  7. Was just watching back the Spurs game on MotD, and when we held our highline, Jonathan Pearce said "Good decision [of the lino to flag off side]. Bad defending." Interesting that other pundits, Hoddle esp, recognised the highline we hold (and got caught out by City). As for the "bias against clubs like ours", who cares? I though the reviews given by pundits after the highlights in the past 2 MotD has been pretty decent and balanced tbf.
  8. Hearing it might be 6 weeks (metatarsal)
  9. He's young and got a decade and half ahead of him, so IMO, there's no rush for him at all, not least as he has that long term contract, and CFC seem pretty keen to keep him. You look at what they have now, and their supporters are rather keener to have Broja than the £97m Lukaku, which seems to be an unmitigated failure and he wants out. To me the main question is, will Lukaku leave this season and if so, will Broja replace him? Or will CFC think he needs a bit more development?
  10. I feel sorry for him. I think LCFC booed his substitution. Now their forum is carrying on kicking him. I never like someone being kicked when he's down
  11. I'm no referee, but the passage of play that led up to their 2nd goal starte, IMO, when they won the ball - which was the foul on Broja. I read some other fan forums, and KUMB were saying that they had a goal chalked off recently that went back far longer than this one. So it seems pretty inconsistent about what constitutes passage of play and how long this can go back in time. I think we can all agree on the foul, and that prob it should have been treated as a head injury. I thought Ralph was magnanimous in his interview saying that it ultimately didn't count against us. EDIT - forgot about the penalty claim. It seems the referral to, or interjection by, VAR is somewhat at the whim of whoever is at Stockley Park.
  12. ?
  13. Think they need to bring Vesty on!!!!!
  14. Very poor defence. Maybe RH does this to show the bosses that the depth really isn't there.
  15. Offsidce
  16. Oh dear 2-2
  17. Mine's dropping a bit, but TBH, but bored though we've just scoredd

  19. What future does A Armstrong have? If we hook him and leave Long and Walcott on, I just wonder what's going to be his future here? Maybe he needs more time......
  20. Glad I didn't take up the chance of a ticket, even if the 2nd half is better than this
  21. They could buy out their contracts and let them go as free agents.
  22. Does seem to be a bit like that. Still don't understand that the richest club in the world would want to stick with the signings and manager, but surely they all know that and will take the coin when dismissed.
  23. Hodgson, while not a very enigmatic person, is an under rated manager. Whether he will be able to satisfy the whims of the owners is a different matter. I wonder whether anyone can?!
  24. Quite Looking at Transfermarkt, City have an average value per player of £37.20m (and a total of £893m) compared to little old Saints, with an average of £8.54m (and a total of £222m). I know that that's a bit subjective, but I think the point is pretty clear. Grealish cost the same as Dragan's 80% share of the club (pre taking on the debt).
  25. Never bother with Crooks. It's far too trite. As for the City vlog, afraid that I couldn't sit through 20 minutes of it. What I saw seemed to be a lot of tourists down for the day. To be wholly honest, if they stick in the boxes, that's the best place for them. I got a bit annoyed with 4 City supporters in front of me in the Kingsland and told them if they wanted to support City, that they probably should be in the away end. They got a bit huffy and said it's football, we're all here for a good time, blah blah blah. Nothing about diluting home support and atmosphere. I did get the moron who got in his words "depressed every time he sees a team like that, like Southampton just hoping for something on the break". Does he not understand the dynamics of football finance and the uneven playing field that the likes of City have created? Given he's a life long supporter, you'd have thought he would have remembered the League 2 days his club went through, and how they were before the Arabs turned up. And as it is, I'm not sure we were just hoping for something on the break.
