Have to agree with you there.Goals 2, 3 and 4 very suspect. 5 and 6 the game was already lost so maybe he was just crap. Also a great game, can't remember what competition but think League Cup, against ManU where we (I think) lost 2-1, with Danny Wallace hitting the bar late on.

This is probably the most disappointing game I ever saw under lights.....

I remember getting to a hotel in Budapest and seeing the news and being quite, I suppose, shocked. I am looking forward to seeing it. The only thing I feel "sorry" for is Ratzenberger's death the day before is largely forgotten. I realise that that is because Senna was the much bigger star, but...

Winter break might come. Don't the PL want to chop a couple of teams? This would be a perfect excuse. As for looking tired at summer tournaments....these happen every other year, not every year, and when the England side grows some cajones and actually tries, then it might carry more weight. As it is, do these professional players really have a hard time? I am sure that they are knackered after a game, but shouldn't they be able to recover quite quickly? How many hours do they train a day? 3 or 4? Not excessively hard is it. Let's face it, it is usually only the prima donnas at the top of the PL who ask for one, but do they really want one? If you gave it to them, what then would they use as an excuse for being a passionless bunch of over-paid ******s? If you can't get yourself passionate about representing your country and finding that extra bit of energy, then maybe it would be best not to pull on the shirt in the first place. As for Walcott's hair and earrings - he looks like a chaved up ****.

Well he might be better than Placido Domingo, which really does show that Blatter is mad as a fish. On the plus side Domingo is only 70 years young compared to Kissinger's mere 88 years.

I believe that the Dell held the first competitive floodlit match in the country (but of course I could be wrong) between SFC Reserves and Spurs Reserves.

If that is the case then it makes more sense. I presume that that sum does not include Fratton Park. If it all goes tits up then they haven't lost much and could liquidate the company and walk away. They would have to do it early on so as not to be struck off as directors of their other businesses in this country if they were to trade while insolvent.

Phil, I think you should be OK. After all it's on football-rumours and they are about as a reliable source as my dog.

I wouldn't be totally surprised if Chainrai retains ownership. Having new owners who haven't visited the ground or said anything apart from that they are deferring statements, seems somewhat odd. If it does happen it would be funny as ****.

I know that this is a little naive but..... I support Saints. Always have, always will. If I was a player and given the choice, I would find it very hard to play for any other club, let alone courting the attentions of half a dozen. Maybe he is a Gooner.

It's quite refreshing when "smaller" clubs get promoted to the PL and aren't bank rolled into buying excessively expensive foreign players. Gives English/British players a chance to play at the top, and that to me, is one of the biggest problems with the PL, and as a consequence the national side (which is really boring and dire).

Who knows what goes on behind closed doors. It might be AOC is part of the deal (Chelsea might just as well buy him to stop their competitors getting him), then again it might not. Not much point speculating whether we sign anyone until they arrive.

Excellent comment #11 andi4asg Friday, June 3, 2011 at 12:11 PM Just looked at "the Echo" some of the comments are rather nasty, What are "Skates"? do they not like us over there???. I sense a turn of the tide in our favour again, they are getting worried

This is part of 1-6 Lombard Street. I occasionally send off deliveries to 3 Lombard Street to Jardine Matheson who aren't a small company. So there are some decent companies there. But having said that, I have come across a fair few companies in the past that set themselves up (and let's not forget that Convers was incorporated in Sept 2010) at a nice address to give themselves an air of respectability, only to go bust or get closed down shortly down the line.

Ignoring the dig at Arsenal, this is the advice I would give my kid, even though I am no ex-pro, and sounds much more realistic than the Echo's article. However, saying that a year would be best for his development is probably a bit too short, not to mention the fact that it is treating his current employer's shoddily

If I was doing business with someone and they seriously came out with that, I would walk away as fast as I could without looking back. For such a "big" company, you would need a firm of proper accountants, not some mickey mouse one in Enfield, and use their address as the registered office. They may well have a head office in the City, but so what? Saying that slightly smacks of trying to convince people that they are kosher. LOL

For me, it should only go up to possibly Newbury. Ideally it would only be Hants, Dorset, Wilts and West Sussex - Berkshire could be lumped in with Oxfordshire and Bucks. Including Oxfordshire and Milton Keynes is I presume a way of cutting costs as they can get rid of a regional BBC office or two.

They should be able to sign Messi, after buying the debt free club. Not sure how long they would be able to pay his wages for though!

I've got a disabled kid and find what he said fairly obnoxious. Glad he never came back.

Dune, you have 3 points only. DVLA doesn't send you a new licence once the points have expired so you should be OK. Driving Miss Daisy? I seem not to have done so "well" as you, and in the 22 years of driving, I have managed a mere 12 points, 3 x 3 for speeding (all SP50s).

didn't really think about the scale of the greenhouses. Really quite "impressive" (I guess that that is the word). I guess that they are labour intensive - how many "slaves" work there?
-
well I guess at least the workers will be nice and warm and dry. but seriously, they are interesting photos. presume the workers are Tunisian/Moroccan.

Go to a plumber's merchants and ask them. I just rented a house out and had the same problem, but the plumber got this stuff (forgotten what it is called) that cleared it up properly. Failing that, you can use caustic soda. B&Q sell some proper stuff rather than the weak stuff - no point using the weak stuff as it doesn't do the job. Very easy to neutralise as well, using citric acid, not that you would need to in this case. But if you ever do use it, caustic soda is soapy to feel. Once you have added citric acid, you know when it is neutralised when it stops being soapy, and citric acid turns it salty (or if you use too much, then it will be citricy). Caustic soda very toxic, citric acid isn't, so best to use too much citric rather than too little. Just in case you want to clean out your kettle!!! One more thing: don't mix caustic soda and chlorine as you'll get hydrochloric acid (I think) and the vapours are pretty nasty.
