  1. Maybe Massa has never fully recovered from this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAbQLkgbFeA&feature=related If it had happened to me I am sure that I wouldn't be so enthusiastic as I had once been
  2. Well at least they are moving Eastwards towards a place where they must surely feel more at home.
  3. anyone think that Cheryl looks a bit like Kate in the first one?
  4. I like the way that they have to book a 6-a-side pre-season tournament!!
  5. Get very excited by this.....
  6. True, but you might meet a goose at 30,000ft HTH
  7. Is this how you drive it?
  8. I took a Puma, Elise and Formula Ford around a track and preferred the Puma. The FF was too small for me and the Elise wasn't as easy to chuck into corners although it was quicker (although no doubt that is to do with my driving ability). No, the Puma is definitely not a crappy hairdresser car. Edit - actually it wasn't as swish as a Formula Ford, but it was something along those lines.
  9. isn't there a wee bit more radiation up there? not sure if the "glass" is going to stop that coming through.
  10. Tolstoy
  11. Exactly. Even if they weren't tax paying, people would be more tolerant if they didn't rob and leave the place looking like a **** hole. Why can't they clean up after themselves? They seem to be moving my way - haven't had any on our place for about 15 years or so but got a funny feeling....!!!
  12. I am not sure the aerodynamaticists are ruining the sport, I think that the teams with vastly varying budgets are doing that. Not sure that the answer is a standard engine for all teams (Ferrari doesn't want that, nor many others), but that would even things up a bit. So far this season, providing you don't fall off the track, only 6 out of 24 cars realistically have a chance of the podium. Draws parallels to the Premier League, which to me is a tad boring as it is too predictable.
  13. but the FA still has to ratify signings. I am not sure how that works but I guess that they have to show how they are going to finance it. Do the CSI guys understand what they have bought?
  14. My brother's company does this. As far as I see it there are 2 ways of doing it: 1} You shell out thousands to put the panels up and you feed the grid and get paid for it. 2} You get a company to put them up, free to you, they get the feed in tariff and you get free electricity. I think the figures are something like 40p odd for the feed, while it costs about 10p to buy back. However, these tariffs are set to change in the near future. I would say that Germany recently cut their tariffs by 30% odd, and I would not be surprised if it happened here. Basically the higher feed in tariffs are paid for by you and me when we buy electricity off the energy companies, thus adding £££s to our bills. So all this renewable generated power is costing the average Joe a lot so those that have done it can profit. I am not so sure that it will last that long at current rates.
  15. Very valid point. To be fair, Cotterill hasn't done too badly with all the crap he has had to deal with. It is seemingly a no-lose situation, because the manager can always turn around and said that he had to do his job with one hand tied behind his back. Look at Avram....WHU were stupid enough not to see that he was a crap manager as well. As for Cotterill, he has on the face of it been treated pretty badly by the new owners. I don't believe that they have had the decency to meet him yet, so if I was in his position and another job came up, I would be off quick smart. Which then leads back to your question. The no-lose situation has now slightly changed after Cotterill got mid-table and that there are new owners who supposedly are going to rebuild the team. It will be interesting to see, but I wouldn't think that it would be that easy to fill the job. Maybe Tony Adams is a bit bored in Azerbaijan?
  16. Hamilton has become a little too arrogant. After his "Maybe it's because I'm black" comment at Monaco, he seems to think the world is against him. If he was so much faster than Jenson, why didn't he pass him on the right? But fair does to Jenson, damn good drive. As Bexy said, a shame Shumi didn't get a podium but nice to see that he was almost competitive. I am not sure I am a great fan of DRS if all teams don't have it and if you have to regulate it's use. Maybe it is the other teams' fault but Schumi didn't have a chance, and strange that a team of Mercs stature couldn't incorporate it.
  17. I a fairly sure that Poopey pay him gross so that £1.4m owing would mean they were liable for the best part of £0.7m income tax as well as employer and employee NI.
  18. might see if I can get on a ferry and find some house to rent somewhere in France. Went to Texas a month ago, but that isn't good enough for the Mrs.!
  19. think he passed 50 some years ago.
  20. I presume that there are some cubs somewhere that need feeding. Might have to break out the .243 if the traps don't catch him, as with all due respect to Charlie boy, I would prefer to have my chickens alive. Having said that the Mrs went over board a little and got 10 of them and each lays an egg a day!!
  21. I'm just waiting for the rats to turn up at my place as I just got some chickens. My little patterdale would keep them clear if her squirrel hunting skills are anything to go by. Just wonder if she would keep the fox away from my chickens. Got traps out for him, so will see what we catch!
  22. got a mate with a terrier?
  23. Think she might be worth a squirt.....
  24. Ireland/Romania
