  1. Currently wearing Wrangler jeans as they are more comfy that any others....and they were £35 a pair off Amazon. Can't bring myself to pay £70+ for a pair of jeans. Prefer my shirts to come from Hilditch & Key but then I guess that isn't really what is being discussed here as they are proper shirts rather than some over priced tat (although H&K are overpriced so best to buy in the sales).
  2. If true, then I would imagine Ipswich may revise their bid, unless there is a bidding war.
  3. maybe a 1 in front of the 7
  4. If you go and see him every time he cries, he will cry to get you to come to him. Ahhh, the joys of colic. We seemed to have cronic reflux in 2 of the kids, which was a little noisy/tedious!
  5. Phil do you go to and from Dubai by boat, or do you use a plane? And when you go to a different country on hols, do you first set up a bank account or do you use one(s) that you already have?
  6. ^ Sidey, that might be because they are admitting that their academy can't bring on anyone decent. Ours on the other hand is somewhat different.
  7. ^ doubt it. Fending off bids from rivals as don't want to strengthen them. But if that is the case then surely would be good enough for us.
  8. Haha. Walter Mitty.
  9. Really? I thought that we were being told by The Few that Poopey were making a day to day operating profit. Is AA really saying that they aren't self sustainable? I am truly shocked.
  10. Does Paul Telfer count?
  11. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. I got bored and got 2 out of 10.
  13. A bit premature maybe. Admin seem to be saying that until midday for offers. The Balotelli thing seems to be a facebook thing.
  14. Question - presuming no new owner comes in, when do Poopey begin to trade while insolvent? We hear on the one hand that they are self-sustaining, but then we also hear that there is only enough money for the short term. Chin's £1m loan seems to have staved off insolvency for the time being. AA is now in possibly a different situation than before. Before hand he didn't take Poopey into the situation of trading while insolvent, he picked up the reins when they were already there. This time round they are currently solvent, and knowingly trading while insolvent might well get him into trouble. With CSI's input, I presume that Poopey were trading OK, but now....? Anyway, this seems to all be about Poopey being in administration, when we know that they aren't and it's just CSI!
  15. SHOCK: football clubs might have to enter the real world! What other business has 100% protection like this? If I sold all my stuff to people who couldn't pay then I wonder how long I would be in business for? It really should be brought in and then clubs can be somewhat more responsible for their own actions. Who knows, perhaps Poopey would never have got into this situation as selling clubs would have realised it was unsustainable. Certainly one way round this would be to pay upfront rather than spread over 2 or 3 years.
  16. Been a few years since I went to visit my then Japanese bosses, but I would second a visit to Tsukiji and would also advocate getting up early to do so. And as Floridaman says, Roppongi for the evening.
  17. Can I vote for Royal Mail to stop ****ing about and instead lower the price of a normal 1st/2nd class stamp?
  18. In all honesty CSI did a truly truly crap job at promoting WRC, at least in this country. In the good old days it used to be on C4 every Sunday, or was that Fri-Sun? Then I think it moved to Dave and now I have no idea at all where it is. Never see it listed and haven't watched it for a few years. Never see it promoted. Don't know which teams are left in it. I think Loeb has left Citroen for Ford, but that's about it. Is CArlos Sainz still racing? I am sure that there is a perfectly good www but TV is where I want to see it. I always thought that it was a superb product and really is worthy of air time. I think that they could/should take a leaf out of the Tour de France book on how to present a race.
  19. I am fairly sure that my Mrs would know only one - MLT.
  20. So this chump was going to invest €40m and go for a listing? Hmmmm sounds familiar. And as for his previous ownership, I am not sure that he technically owned the club, but that is being pedantic.
  21. Sh*t Coventry must really really really be up the creek without a paddle. We all knew SISU wasn't going to work and thank God we didn't end up with them.
  22. No I don't think it illegal to put down your pet yourself. Maybe best to find someone else to do it for you though. If you want a painless, and I mean truly painless way of euthanasing, can I point you in the direction of carbon dioxide. When people/animals inhale it, it fills the lungs, renders you unconscious pretty damn quickly (not that you know about it) and that's it. Somewhat more peaceful than shooting your own cat.
  23. Were you parents Welsh or something?
  24. not so sure it is such a good idea exposing people like this.
  25. As you say, laughable as it still doesn't explain why anyone in their right mind would buy Pompey before the 20 or 30 other clubs that are more attractive. If anyone was set on living down here, so not considering the likes of Everton, Reading has been up for sale for a while. EDIT - ah ha. I see SG posted what I said just b4 me!
