  2. If/when Chin takes over, as an already secured creditor, won't he have to write off/down what is "owed" to him? Not sure that he can just defer it.
  3. Of course they are. They want him to write off, what, say £27m of secured debt so that they can get the club, the PPs and everything. Chin isn't (supposedly) a successful businessman for being extraordinarily altruistic. The PST are whistling in the wind.
  4. If secured creditors have to be paid off or have an agreement in place, and if PST are the "winners", what's to stop Chin demanding to be paid off? If he is going to lose out, then he might as well get his money paid back.

  6. I've always thought that we are up for sale, esp if/when we got to the PL. The man who bought us has died, and left it to his children. Why should they want to continue owning a football club? With us in the PL, the value of the asset would be much improved, so now is the perfect time to sell from the point of view of Marcus' children.

    Not a hog roast, but I had a mate BBQ a goat in his (metal!!!) wheelbarrow. Wrapped the whole thing in tin foil and put coals all over it. Damn good is goat, and might well be cheaper than a pig.

  10. The FL are being very spineless. There are 11 days to go to the first league game. Poopey have 1 senior player. and as we know they seem to refuse to use anything but senior players. So 11 days to sort out their **** and sign a whole new squad. The FL should turn around to them and demand to know whether they will be in a position to start the season. If they cannot give a definite "yes" (which they can't), then they should drop down to the bottom of the league and let someone else take their place. What happens if we get to next week, a week before the season starts, and they say they can't fulfil their commitments? Too late to reschedule everything and get another team in to replace them.
  11. No idea. But, I was of the opinion that they won't be liquidated as the "football family" wouldn't allow it. I still don't think they will disappear. However, AA's reappearance as TBH's advisor leads me to sometimes question this and that BC really does want PFC to go pop so that he can pick up the pieces with vacant possession.

A few managers have commented that they have had players taken from under their noses with the lure of unrealistic wages from Poopey, and that that means that they are "cheating". What about the chairmen in L1? If Poopey are allowed to build a squad based on unrealistic wages, are the other chairmen going to sit idly by and accept it? Probably. But shouldn't they group together and complain?

  18. Councils often have loan funds to help small businesses, but I am not sure that they are really thinking about football clubs. If the council did lend them money then they are opening one hell of a huge can of worms and suspect that they would also lay themselves open to a huge number of legal challenges. Cutting the budget even further for, for example, disabled schools so that they can save Poopey isn't great.   19. Being serious for a moment..... This thing about being the best fans, where on earth has this come from? While no doubt they have a hardcore of good supporters who turn up through thick or thin, how are they any better than any other supporter? Looking at home attendances, we know that it isn't great. Sure the usual excuses can be trotted out. The argument that they have great support in bad times, doesn't really stack up when you look at clubs like Man City and Leeds. Last season I think Wet Sham far out did them (and most all others) in all aspects of support, week in week out. As for being the best fans in the world, have they ever said that? I dod post a few links pages and pages ago, showing some Turkish supporters. They **** all over any/most support in the rest of the world. If Pompey could be anything like this: then their claims might be taken a bit more seriously.

  22. I think you might be misunderstanding his point. No one is saying to forget it, but I think (so might well be wrong) that he was referring to the way that we are told to remember it can sometimes be like emotional blackmail. Just musing, but it is interesting that we seem not to remember what happened to the Armenians and what is known as the Armenian Genocide or Armenian Holocaust. And somewhat more recently, the Rwandan Genocide seems not to be mentioned either. Maybe those people were not as worthy of remembrance?

  25. Yup, and it comes across as being way OTT this faux-outrage. As GM says, all families were affected to some degree or other. As Tokyo said, if he is upset, some things are best not to push. But overall he has double standards, but hey, it's his little fiefdom, so let him be king of it.
