Who did you write to? Maybe if everyone did it, they might (though prob not) just take a bit of notice

Block 30, and a few seats around me always non-ST. When the big games come, invariably away supporters, though on Sat, a family from the Far Eastern in front of me, who seemed to support Ronaldo and Southampton!! At least right next to me was a fella in a Saints top. Last season I did tell some Man C to hush their celebrations a bit, to which they replied it was all about having fun and they weren't doing any harm. When I pointed out that they were diluting the home support in the home stands they didn't really have anything to say. I was told by the bloke on the other side, that some Man U fans turned up in Man U shirts to get in block 29-31 and were refused entry.

Is Watford too far? Bit of a schlep down the M6/M1 but not out of the question if living to the south of Brum. Training ground is IIRC in St Albans.
-
Question is though, does he like playing there? He might be quite good at it, but whether he likes it must be quite a relevant question.
-
He was a truly superb player, or at least he was in my eyes as a young Saints supporter. Only 67. RIP.
-
He trains & travels with the first team and gets named in match day squad. Just because he didn't get off the bench, doesn't mean he's being frozen out. That would be if he trained with the U18 and stayed at home on match day.

Read one comment on Foxes Talk, saying that we looked like relegation fodder and that they were even worse today. I know it's easy to say that once you've lost to a (supposed) weaker team, but were we playing like a Championship side?
-
How many teams do you think can win the PL?

I prefer to look at last season from the WHU cup game and before, rather than after. I'm usually hopelessly optimistic b4 the season starts, and then do a volte face after the 1st game. So the difference to when we played OK is no Forster, no Broja vs the players we've brought in. I'm not sure what happened post WHU game, if anything specifically did, but is that form really to be expected again?

Rather trite banalities when posters here turn to politics. Best keep politics out of it IMO.

IIRC, and it was a long time ago, the lady saying about smaller pitches, also mentioned smaller goals too.

I think too many sometimes want to judge the men's and women's games the same, so that they can then pronounce the women's game as being inferior. The same rules of course apply to both, but we all know why the differences come about. I heard some commentators saying today that it was a different game to the men's one, but it's not, it's the same game played at a different physical level (which of course was what the bloke from the Sun was meaning). We don't compare men's England team to the U18s and be disparaging. As an aside....not sure if I mentioned on here, but years ago I heard an interview on R5L by an England player (woman) either current or just retired (can't recall), who thought that playing on slightly smaller pitches might improve the game. Not heard that mentioned by anyone since, but do wonder whether there might be something in it. Of course it is a tricky question without wanting to come across as being condescending, but if you look at cricket, the boundaries in the women's game are brought in quite a fair way.
-
@whelk not sure TBH. But a wider look at the women's game.. How many PL grounds are used for their games?
-
Issue is, would enough go to justify opening up the stadium, both financially and atmosphere wise? We can all get carried away by the attendance last night and at previous games, but not sure that would be carried through to the league. Of course I might be wrong, but I do think you are right in not having it run alongside the men's game
-
Absolutely. Really good to actually have won something (even if I didn't enjoy the game)
-
So if another forward comes in, who goes out out of Armstrong or Adams?
-
IIRC it's a 2 year contract, which totals up to £20.8m. Fitting that into our structure of paying, say, £80k on a 4 year contract, it would be like signing a £25m player (ie £6.25m per season for the signing, and £4.2 a season wages)
-
Disagree. Bdx had to do it for their hearing today, and no way of getting around that on their side.
-
I think I'm in the minority where I wish we'd pick a strip and stick with it, rather than change it every year.
-
Personally don't care what we look like on the pitch clothes wise, so long as we can play decent football.
-
Pragmatic fans who realise that their club, just like ours, is a stepping stone and that's how you attract certain players.
-
To go from where we were on 2nd March to where we are today.... P13 W1 D2 L10 GF10 GA34..... something seriously has gone wrong.
-
Think I'm probably in this camp too now. Since the beginning of March it has been utterly diabolical.

Thank god we've got 39 points.
