He played one thing very badly, and that was that he only ever planned to be here for 2 years, and that those 2 years were up. I think too many football players listen to their agents and what they promise will happen. He best go and have a lemonade and have a serious think about his future. Move from Juve to Saints should have told him something, and that while he may be good, he isn't as good as he thinks he is.

Its like players, you want good ones that are going to be "poached" by other, bigger clubs. If he's good enough for Bayern, then it shows he was good enough for us.

Morgan did OK. Got a big pay day and a pretty wife.

Someone who tries hard.
-
Played 24 league games last season, while Lemina managed 21.
-
That's a real try before you buy. If he's good enough he prob will do 30, presume not just league games. If he's cack, then he won't make 30 games. and let's not forget, he's never done 30 games in a season before. Done 29 a couple of times

I'm still not convinced by the 22 second delay to a game. Some of the Women's WC was ridiculous - several minutes a half. But I guess we'll find out soon enough, and the principle of it all is of course positive.

Mine arrived this morning too.

Watching VAR in recent action, I can't help but think that the ridiculous amount of time it takes in certain instances, that it will be bad for the spectator. Maybe it is just teething problems, but taking 2 or 3 minutes to make a decision is far too long.

Good. Need to get shot of him...anywhere. He hasn't got the right attitude and I stand by the OP. If he does well elsewhere, so be it, but he'll not do it for us.

Fair enough, I wouldn't disagree that things have consolidated themselves over the past couple of seasons. As for winners of the Premier League. Big 6 = 25; non-Big 6 = 2 (Blackburn and Leicester, although maybe given the amount they spent in the day, B'burn could have been one of the big boys). And of those 25, of course Spurs and Liverpool can be excluded as they haven't won it. And of course, the pre 2008 Man City weren't what they are now.

Ah, but it's the best league in the world, so we are told, as the top 2 tiers are more numerous than other leagues. But in reality we are at a stage in the PL, where as you point out the top tier is populated by 2 clubs, the same as many other leagues. Spain has 3 if you include Atletico, but whether they can win is another question. France has 1. Italy has Juve with Napoli/Roma maybe joining. Germany has 2. etc etc We all know that about the PL, hence the title winning odds. https://m.skybet.com/football/premier-league/event/23792469 Man City 1-2, Liverpool 9-4, 18-1 bar. 18-1!!! And the media will go on and on and on and on and on about the 2 horse race, and given that they will likely play at different times, will try and add excitement by saying the lead has changed 30 times over the season. Alas it was inevitable that this would happen as the riches get even bigger for the biggest teams. I fully expect them to nab most of the TV revenue in the not too distant future, and then it really will be the end. Greed as usual has killed the goose.

I don't go to the football to think that the top 6 are going to include anyone other than who were their last season. And let's not even bother going to the media obsession about the Top 4, and CL qualification. The last time the current top 6 only filled 4 spots was the freak of 2015/16 (LCFC and us), was 2008/9 before Man City was bought out. Since then they've filled 5 of 6 spots about half the time, and all 6 spots the other half of the time. The one team that used to miss out was Liverpool, but that has changed since Henry bought them, and I think that they are pretty much guaranteed top 6 for the foreseeable future. I go to football to be entertained (something lacking in past seasons) and to escape the wife for a while.

I liked the way that he knew that his first season wasn't good enough. I think certain players think that they are good enough come what may, and when they don't make the team they can't understand it and get the hump. I realise that that is hardly that positive if there is no possible improvement.

Dreamed that he had signed for Lyon.
-
Are you Bladdered?
-
Hmmmm Troll??
-
You're an overseas player.... Who would you rather sign for - us or Wolves? That's before you consider who pays the most.
-
I wonder if anyone pre ordered it (if you could), and whether that might have something to do with it? Only 2 other things I can see surrounds the sponsor's logo: either it is going to change or there was a manufacturing fault. The latter seems most implausible.....but who knows?

TBH not sure I care what he means. I find Twitter to be an odd place, and people who post cryptic messages are tiresome.

Handicaps in golf, if you are any good, go down not up.
-
Desperation - absolutely. The world and their dog know that Utd are miles behind City/LFC and need to do some serious recruitment. So as such, they are going to have their pants pulled down on every signing they make.
-
Maybe they want to replace Morgan.

Really, because my memory tells me otherwise. Oh we had Kat saying this and that, about how she had sold to someone who would be good for the club, so justifying her £210m. I'm not sure we heard anything from the new owner, or if we did, it was the "live within the club's own means" bit which was synonymous to no outward investment. The PL is basically split into two camps. Those clubs with owners that invest big money, those that don't. While you have Man U/C, Liverpool, Everton, Chelsea, Spurs, Wolves, Villa, Leicester etc, we are with the likes of Burnley, Brighton and Norwich when it comes to investment. I know that we are slightly hamstrung at the moment with expensive bloat, but Bournemouth's owner has a more daring do approach than we do, so I can very much see the day when they are in the PL and we aren't.
