Do some clubs insist on NDAs from the other party? I do remember reading a good article some time ago, that basically said the fees are never really that accurate. Buying clubs tend to under state things, selling clubs overstate. That is if either mention it. Some chairmen apparently like to bandy about figures to appease the fans.

I'm wondering if we do sign Salisu, whether he can partner Bednarek, and push Stephens up to DM. To me he has shown that he can carry the ball forward quite well.

Would be surprised if £25m, unless its the same £20m + £5m add ons that EFC supposedly agreed.

Spurs don't want it to drag into September or even October (window closes 5th October). People say that Levy has us over a barrel, but this is one thing we can do to counter things, to drag it out. KWP will also be dragged out, so if he is our choice, then it is somewhat cutting our nose off to spite our face, that is unless Levy is demanding far too much for him.

I think a bit of perspective is needed. He's in his last year and isn't worth £25m nor £20m for that matter.

You just have to look who is releasing the figures to the press. It's Spurs, so reading between the lines, you might be able to get somewhere nearer the truth. With your figures, I am presuming that that is with some knowledge of things. Questions..... 1) Are the add ons easily achievable? 2) If not, is the difference between the two players closer to £5m than £3m? (presume it is).

I'm not going to read the whole thread, but what I've seen, most seem to think like me. That he has been good for us, rather than spectacular, and cannot understand why a Big 6 club (and others) are so enthused over him. He's a frustrating player at times, and definitely ahead of Romeu. He doesn't on the face of it, seem to be a player whose moving away will be hugely detrimental to us, but only time will tell. I actually think he's a very clever player just a shame he isn't more agile and his shooting ability is somewhat in the Shane Long mould.

Sums up the fans or the player?

I don't want to come across as being one of those who says that a player is sh*t when he leaves for another team, because I don't think PEH is. But I don't quite get the huge enthusiasm that Spurs supporters have in signing him. Am I wrong? Is PEH a brilliant player? We all know how he plays, but I am wondering whether I am missing something and under estimating his impact? I was listening to talkSport yesterday, where a couple of the people there said that he was our best player last season (after Ings) with Alex Crook (I think it was him) saying that he thought that he'd actually been pretty poor.

Maybe, but she's very lucky to have me as a husband.

Don't forget that he did play 45 games for us over 2 seasons, plus some loan fees as well.
