  1. Barry Horne's goal against Bolton was a good'un, but not as good as the one he scored for Everton in '93(?) last game of the season against Wimbledon. I was at that match and BH's goal was a beauty, Paul Rideout swallowed his tongue just before half time and Everton came from 2-0 down to win 3-2 and avoid relegation... that game had it all! :smt101
  2. Smashing vid! Despite everything else that is going on at the moment, the buzz I get from seeing that goal and then the manic celebrations makes the hair on the back of my neck stand on end!
  3. Could someone explain what the difference is between our current predicament, and the situation Derby County went through when they avoided the 10 point penalty? Are the 2 scenarios entirely different, or could it be the precedent has already been set?
  4. Errr... what does "Whooooosh" mean?
  5. Good, at least we don't have to worry about one of Lowe's offspring taking over the reigns!... errr...
  6. Excuse me Mr Lowe, may I use the toilet please sir?
  7. Gerry yes (even he'd be better than wotte we've gotte at the moment!) :smt022
  8. According to the Beeb, we're getting £114,943! How on earth did they calculate that!? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/7765422.stm
  9. I was delighted when Burley arrived at Saints, and I was delighted when Burley left Saints. I suspect I'm not the only person on here who that applies to.
  10. Interesting similarity between the new QPR badge and the existing Saints badge... I know which one I prefer though. You can see them side-by-side on here... http://www.qpr.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Home/
  11. I love the current badge too. I agree that it looked better with the "old style" long-thin-panelled football than the current black-and-white-hexagon-panneled one that it's had since the mid 90's. Overall though, I think our current badge is one of the most distinctive badges of any team in the league. I don't mind changing it for one season, as long as we go back to the current badge straight afterwards.
  12. If me aunty had ******** she'd be me uncle!
  13. Aye, but how many footballers are still like that at the age of 20+!? Still, here's hoping he signs a new contract and has a long and distinguished career with Saints... the MLT of his generation!
  14. Cork is the reason we're now playing "champagne football"! \\:D/ But I thought JP was trying get rid of the "dead wood" from the squad (I'll quit while I'm ahead!)
  15. On the other hand, the 2 that play centre-half when Svensson is rested will know that one of them will be dropped for the next game, giving them both an extra incentive to impress the manager!
