You'd have thought it would have been common sense for him to start in black, after kick off the first time he blew his whistle it took me quite a while to even find him, don't know how the players coped with it really

There is tons of uproar about it already, see my earlier post, it has been brought up in parliament, I saw a video of it earlier, as I haven't been able to play and wanted to see what the fuss was about, it looks worse than i was expecting but not as bad as some people are portraying it.

I ordered it off amazon a few months ago for £40 http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/8342589.stm I can't stand people who blame these games on real life violence, I have played them since the first CoD came out and GTA since Vice City and have never once had the urge to recreate what I have played. They create an escape from reality and are a great stress buster. mine arrived Saturday morning, but I won't be able to play until this weekend when I am home for a few days, but I have been looking forward to this for ages! the customisable multiplayer looks like it could add a new range to the game and be great for variability

Another lazy peice of journalism about saints

Good point, didn't really think of it like that. The opening sentence mentions a second half debut double which probably would have been better -

"Connolly, making his first start after joining Saints as a free agent" apparently he hasn't played for us before, just our imagination obviously. Good luck with keeping things in order, it seems to need it -
I think we need to win both to keep momentum and morale up. I especially think the JPT is worth a decent team, just because if we beat charlton, it can show that we are up there with the best in the league, and i doubt if we did get to the final many people who moan about it would pass the opportunity to see Saints possibly lift some silverware. As for the FA cup its just about keeping a winning momentum to carry through to the league, who knows we could then get a 'bigger' team later on who would underestimate us and we could do a bit of giant killing

At least half the times he was offside the lino made a mistake, especially the time that resulted in him being booked he was onside by a good foot at least and through on goal. I was sat behind the lino in the Kingsland so had a good view

Sounded on the radio like the ref gave an easy decision, but i couldn't really hear because of a stockport commentator almost drowning out Radio Solent As I understand it Trottman had his back to the ball arms at his side and it bounced up and hit his elbow, so ball to hand, anyone see if this is what happened?

The problem is with the new regime there are very few ITK's because old contacts have now gone, I don't think that just because there is a lack of rumours there is any lack of action, what it suggests is that matters are being handled professionally without info being leaked before it needs to be.

Cheers for that a lot of it was in the 5live show/podcast as well but still made a good read

I wouldn't be surprised if Hammond isn't captain before too long, because they are the most recent of those above to have been captain, he also has experience of being captain in this league. I don't like keeper captains for the same reason everyone else has said, they are too far removed, so how are they meant to shout at the strikers except for when we are defending a set piece.

Pardrew sacked as Saints just escape relegation
Rocker268 replied to monkadill's topic in The Saints
you really are a muppet, after having this thread locked you don't go start it again! Besides it being entirely pointless anyway -
I hope its not true and doubt that it is, because there will have been something official by now, or if it was before the game an announcement will probably have been made asking for witnesses during the match, like they did last year when the poor man collapsed at the top of Britannia road last season
-
I don't think the attendance will be massive because of holidays, my parents and brother are all Season Ticket holders but can't make it because of holidays and I guess that will be the same with a lot of people. The match is also on sky so people may decide to stay at home/in a pub to watch the match instead

Will they be on the video box on the OS? I thought that was what it was there for

This has just gone up on Twitter from Official Saints "Just the normal press briefing ahead of Hearts. Full details will be on http://bit.ly/c2GRt by the end of the day as normal."

I agree, it sounds like Henderson was still running things tonight, AP will have had a few days, hopefully begining to piece together his squad for next year and will have begun to have an affect
-
I was wondering if he would follow the match today, because it was Ajax, so I have continued respect to him, hopefully he will get a job somewhere soon, he deserves one
-
Solent said around about 20,000 on my drive home, it was better than most of the crowds I saw last season
-
No he's not he is in the stands and starts properly on Monday, Henderson is still running the show today
-
RIP I feel that once Harry Patch passes away there should be a state funeral to honour the entire generation, who gave so much for the whole world.
-
I reckon 3-1 to Ajax, with us scoring a late flukey goal, but it should be a good atmosphere and if we get completely outplayed, both ML and AP will realise how many new players are needed for us to succeed
-
"Idiots. It'll be fun seeing him deal with a minus 10 start at a skint club. Wonder if they'll pay for his swish motors?" hahaha what a clueless idiot, tbf they were corrected later but still
-
It's also on the Echo, but then they may have just gotten there info off of Wikipedia anyway. I think Happy Birthday is a good idea I had a similar thought as well

I agree although it is annoying waiting for news it has only been 3 working days now and as they have a long term plan they want a long term manager, so will not only be looking for one who can manage in league 1 but can also cope with the CCC and prem to keep continuity and have the ability to manage at all levels on a budget, even if it is flexible =p ML has not got where he is by making brash incorrect decisions, give him and the rest of the team time and I would think it will all work out for the best!
