Mirror (for what they are worth) Lallana/Surman get their dream move!
Rocker268 replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
What are you on about Stoke will deffinately be relegated and we will be promoted so do a swap then we will become a dream move like Stoke is -
The Cork one has to be rubbish Pompey are in a worse state than us at the moment there is no way they will be buying him unless they sell almost their entire squad
-
I dont have a season ticket as I can't attend enough games to make it value for money but my parents, uncle and brother do and I am sure they will renew again
-
I feel that Pearson should have been kept on, but seeing as to put it bluntley the team is made up of last years rejects when our first team only just stayed up, I cant really see what more Pearson could have us doing other than possibly altering things, but then it is down to the players as they would be the ones needing more bottle to stand their ground and get stuck in, but as they majority are my age I would find it very hard playing people twice my age. I still have a confidence in Jan but that is fading quickly I only still have confidence because of the way the team can play IF it plays well the problem is consitency and to me it is obvious we need some one back upfront, I would choose Saga as I believe he has a higher work rate than Stern and Rasiak and he proved when he was on loan to us that he can score in this league (whether that was to get a contract or not)

Whats the best game people have played on either the Wii, 360 or PS3? For me its either COD4 for the story and online play or Oblivion for the sheer size of it and the endless hours of play.
-
It always makes me wonder how they get anything done when you look at peoples reactions to something like that.... then again i think the current situation shows they dont get much done a lot of the time
-
This is the same advice I would give second time i did the story i did the Knights of the nine and got the skeleton key, it saves a lot of hassle later on when you run-out of lock pics mid dungeon and the armor and weapons you get is the best in the game when you level it up As Donuts said you will lose your life I think my total game time on this is over 300 hours which is really sad when you look at it that way but I have had this game 18 months so thats less than 1 hour a day
-
Don't keepers generaly have their best years between 28 and 34 (ish) so it may be that a Championship side with extra cash may take him, I cant see a prem side wanting him as although he has been brilliant and without him our goals against will be double, most people will look at the amount he has conceded and look elsewhere without properly checking him too closely

The ''I'm desperate for a Man U ticket can you help me'' thread?
Rocker268 replied to Summers's topic in The Saints
Ah I made the smart move of coming to uni in Southampton so my parents can pick me up on their way to games whenever there is a home game it worked out quite well in the end =p I'm sure if you phoned up you would be on the database and depending on how long you had a season ticket would also help. If not when the tickets go on general sale you should be able to get one I doubt until about a week before the match it will be sold out -
Ah but surely you are missing the bigger picture with the train, who knows its not Thomas the Tank Engine for some of the players, I think that would go nicely with the proposed Teletubbies =p
-
Us beat United and Pompey lose to Bristol City it will mark the start of a happy new year =)
-
Unfortunately its just the planning of the ground it is nothing new. and to claim that the most loyal will be moved is an insult just because that part is the loudest doesn't make those fans anymore loyal than those in the chapel, its just with the half empty stands the atmosphere doesn't spread and its more families and older supporters in the other parts
-
Well done for sticking to your principles =) I think the stick is aimed at those claiming the same as you, to stay away but then going anyway to see Manure
-
I will be there and does anyone know when tickets go on sale to members? Although I think it will be wrong for people to turn up just to see United and then not go to the next home game (although i may not be there too far to tell) I dont care extra money for the club a good atmosphere even if we get thrashed which I think we will, it will be a good day out. I hope its not on TV it may keep the score down a tad =p
-
Was this on Radio Hampshire? my radio went funny just after the match and I could hardly hear the third half, although I did hear Kelvin's comment about him always being ready for England =p unless i heard that wrong
-
Arsenal at home get a good gate bit of revenue good experience for the lads playing players of a similar (ish) age then concentrate on the league
-
Well that was the best spent 90 mins of my life who wouldnt enjoy watching a dull match freezing cold with neither team looking very dangerous. I heard on Radio Hampshire someone mention about different systems at home and away, and after my first away game at reading I dont see why we dont play like that all the time, everyone seemed hungry to have a go on sat but tonight I cant remember who it was but they broke through to the 6 yard line and still didnt shoot after running a good 20 yards with the ball, no one seemed to want to shoot
-
I was thinking that today that they should train there at least once a week it would get them familiar with the pitch as so many times they seemed to slip, as they do every game at SMS so training may help them adjust to the surface
-
From what I saw there wasn't much to get excited about he didnt seem very good off the ball, but granted he is adjusting and had only 10 mins but I thought he did nothing, somehow he won a few headers though =s

Thats the same view as me and when will people get it into their heads that those staying away purely due to Lowe are maybe 200 at the most the rest are missing for various reasons ina ****tail, credit crunch, level of football, doom and gloom spread by this forum and others and then you can add lowe to that equation but those ONLY staying away due to Lowe are a very small amount We need everyone to pull together Saturday was an amazing day and long may those performances continue COYR
-
Its a little too soon to get carried away although the performance was great Reading barely showed up in the first half we should have been a few ahead at half time. IF we get into the play-offs then I agree as there would be the sudden rush for tickets, the same would happen with a cup run, people would come to see the big teams and faithful fans may then miss out. Although as someone put earlier Jan is the time to fear atm but if we go on a run and more fans that can afford to attend do then the amount of players sold may be down due to added income
-
It wasnt the meant as the fans pick who play, it was just a way of posisbly slecting one of the players people feel we need to bring back to the club. It was also meant as an alternative to lowering ticket prices.
-
I had an idea about ticket prices, as the club does not want to lower the price of tickets, how about X amount from ticket income every week went to pay certain players wages, such as John, Saga, Rasiak etc or to bring in a new player such as a CB on loan. The club could easily do this by putting a form in the back of a programme with free post so fans can vote which player they would either like to bring back from loan, or fill a position with a new loanee. This would have several positives: it would make fans feel they are slightly reconnected with the club, possibly appease those annoyed at the high ticket prices, and allow us to strengthen the squad without the club spending more money as it would be £1 or so off of every ticket. It may also boost programme sales. Just a thought

No its just the Wolves end it was sad watching the vigin highlights when they panned to the packed away end then round the patches of empty red seats, it made me realise on saturday just how few people still go compared to two seasons ago
-
I know it was a clear 50/50 challenge neither player should have been booked but if the ref had sense and wanted to brandish a card then a yellow each would have done, he lost control after that and was intent on pulling Saints up on almost anything and everything
