  1. Sorry, ignore me. For anyone else with this issue: Once you add other friends or family accounts to yours and select them as other customers, even if the page appears to refresh, you must click 'Update Basket' along the bottom.
  2. My brother and I are looking to book tickets for the Arsenal game next week. I haven't booked an away ticket on the new system before. As you can only book one ticket at a time, does anyone know if there is anyway of sitting together, or is it a random allocation?
  3. Apologies, I meant to quote MLG in this and can't edit. Where is the "clear precedent"? All I've seen so far from people saying its wrong regarding other clubs getting financial punishments is for different offences to what Legia did. So they aren't precedents at all.
  4. There was this article on the BBC earlier (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28693855) which stated this: "However, in 2010, Uefa fined Debrecen £15,000 but rejected a protest from opponents Litex Lovech, who wanted the Hungarian side kicked out of the tournament for fielding an ineligible player. Debrecen argued that they fielded Peter Mate in good faith as a substitute in Bulgaria when they were leading 4-1 on aggregate. Uefa ruled that Debrecen had "no interest in fielding this player for the three last minutes of additional time, when the score was so clearly in its favour"." Although this suggests the decision should have allowed Leiga to continue, I was talking with a friend who is a Sports Journalist earlier, who suggested that the precedents were changed in 2011 for the Sion decision, although the offence was different. It seems like an odd case, and one which should have been picked up by UEFA or the match officials, who surely have a list of banned players.
  5. Now Official on Twitter Southampton FCVerified account ‏@SouthamptonFC We are pleased to announce that Saphir Taïder has joined #SaintsFC on a season-long loan from @Inter. #SaintSaphir
  6. I would agree, the Northam/Kingsland corner is probably my favourite part of the ground, for me it has the best atmosphere whilst also being suitable for children. The view is pretty decent too, as with anywhere in SMS. I am not too sure how busy it is these days, but me and my brother used to wait around after the game by the fencing with the away coach at the front of the stadium and some players would start to make their way out from the main reception to sign autographs, pose for photos etc. They usually came out about half an hour after the game. Although it could be a bit of a squeeze, try and get to the corner on the far left near the stadium as that was usually the point they would all pass as they left. I have quite a few signatures from waiting there, although it has been at least 6 years since I last did that.
  7. I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere and didn't hear it in the SSN or TalkSport interviews (the joys of working from home), but did anyone listen to the Solent interview at 5:20? If so, was there any mention of Cork or Fonte or new contracts?
  8. On Saturday I booked a place in Croatia for next week with Airbnb https://www.airbnb.co.uk/ which is a company I haven't used before. You can't sort flights through it, but depending on what you are looking for it seems relatively cheap for a room or apartment/house for a few days at short notice.
  9. I'm not sure why the link didn't work there, but please try this one as I am unable to edit posts: https://www.isurvey.soton.ac.uk/11989
  10. Hi Everyone, If you have a spare 5 minutes between refreshing the page for either updates of transfers/rumours, or for the friendly tonight, please can you assist me with a survey for my Master's degree dissertation? The survey is regarding Environmental and Ethical Management in Shops and Shopping Centres. This study is focussing on the whole of the UK, not just Southampton, so feel free to complete it wherever you are. The survey is available here: Click Here to take survey If I have already stopped you in Southampton or elsewhere, then thank you very much for participating and if you see me out and about in Southampton, Portsmouth or Guildford over the next week or two feel free to say hello or run away. Thank you for your help.
  11. All done, all the best with your project.
  12. It would appear that Lallana is now on Twitter http://twitter.com/theadamlallana
  13. Yea I do, is this the error you're getting? "The page you are trying to reach may have expired, or been moved. If you have followed a link from your bookmarks, please relocate the page and remember to update your bookmarks."

    Trophy?

Radio Solent just announced that there is a runners up trophy for Saints to get
  16. Here is today's show on iplayer, but I'm not sure if it is regionally restricted. It's also not up yet, so I don't know if it works. Hopefully it does as I didn't even think of putting it on http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b010v0hp/South_Today_03_05_2011/

    league 1

One thing L1 has shown me is that Saints have one of the best sets of true fans in the country. Consistently having the crowds we have had shows just how many real Southampton fans there are, opposed to a lot of Prem clubs who only have crowds of a similar size due to the fact they are in the Premiership
  18. Did it amount to anything in the end?
  19. Great video, thanks for putting it together
  20. Does this mean that the highlights on the BBC and the Football League Show will cease to be shown on the BBC from next season? I'm assuming so, but I'm not sure if there will be a secondary deal to protect this service
  21. Now you mention it, I think he is slowly becoming team captain, a lot of interviews recently have seemed to have featured him rather than Davis or Hammond.
  22. That's O.K. I'm not sure about Jobs really I haven't really looked, I applied for the Halo catering vacancies at SMS but never heard back once they received my application, but they may be worth a look. SoBar are often hiring in September and I assume Jesters do as well, I think both are losing quite a few staff members this summer (unless people stay after they graduate). Waitrose seem to have quite a few student staff members so may be worth investigating. My cousin graduated last year and has stayed in Portswood and works in the city centre which is only 20 - 30mins walk so you can walk or cycle into town easily for work too.
  23. I'm a third year living in Thackeray Road at the moment and love living in Portswood. This is the company I have used for both years http://www.assuredlettings-southampton.co.uk/ and they have been great, I would recommend them to anyone, plus they are big Saints fans I lived on Burgess Road last year and living in Portswood has been so much better! As long as you stay off of Portswood Highstreet then it is quiet (all I can hear at the moment is a bird in the trees opposite) as you are away from the traffic. The best thing about being in Portswood is the number of students around (I know that a lot of permanent residents hate it, but for me it is great), so you are always running into people you know, either to or from uni, or just in the shops. It also means you are a couple of minutes from friends houses if you decide you want to meet up with other people, or become part of a committee and have meetings as these will usually be in Portswood. I am able to live off of Iceland for most things but use Waitrose or the independent shops for fruit, veg and meat as it is better quality and Waitrose Essential is good value. Plus if you know Someone with a car you can go to Sainsbury's at Hedge End or Asda in Eastleigh for a 'big' shop every couple of weeks. The main reason most people live in Highfield is so that they are close to the library but after living in Swaythling last year I haven't noticed a difference. I prefer living close to SoBar and Jesters and having a 5-10 min walk home from them rather than a 40 min one at 2am and a 20 min walk to uni in the day opposed to last years 15 mins. I hope that helps feel free to ask me anything else though. Good Luck house hunting!
  24. If anyone missed it and was interested Solent did a special show about the Blitz last night. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/p00cb88q/Southamptons_darkest_hour_Southampton_Blitz_70th_Anniversary At around 40 mins, Kelvin gives a Widow a plaque to commemorate her late Husbands friends who all worked at the gas works (where St Mary's is now) who all died in a direct hit (Although the husband was not at the shelter that night, so had been trying to get a plaque organised before he passed away earlier this year). The plaque is going to be put outside SMS to remember the young men who died on the site.
  25. They may be keeping the shirts to use during their work in the community as an alternative to bibs? That is the only logical explanation I can think of. Although I don't see why the children couldn't keep them as a bit of memorabilia
