west ham should have gone up the first season and in his final season he took them on their worst run of defeats for 70 years and got knocked out of the FA cup by chesterfield (not exactly of liverpools standard?!) He then went to charlton and sent them down. he then ****ed up and missed out on playoffs before taking them on another run of defeats before leaving. He only did well in the prem with west ham because they had money to spend and a decent squad to build on, he cant work with what he has at his disposal.

fa cups count for nothing, they have only ever managed lwoer league sides. He relegated charllton after trying his best to do so at West Ham.
-
where has he showed proven quality, he had a good start at reading but left before he could develop them into a second tier force. He then took two seasons to promote a decent west ham side. West hams first year in prem was decent, but missed out on the fa cup. He then took them on their worst run of results in 70 years before getting sacked. Dont even mention charlton....

grayson got blackpool promoted, irvine got preston to the play offs with an average squad, boothroyd is overperforming with a crap squad and got watford promoted, wilson is getting a squad of sh*te players into te play offs and made one of teh buys of the season (austen) and lambert transformed a norwich side that were at their lowest ebb. SO yes I would very much like one of these guys - pardew is a bit of a nearly man in terms of his record

behind the goal 132-135 then
-
top tier at the side of the pitch will be the better view, because the stand is set quite far behind the goal

paul lambert, aidy boothroyd, simon grayson, danny wilson, alan irvine - i would have any of the above. AP is full of rhetoric but never makes his words count. He is a bit of a burley, always has the excuses after the game, crap pitch, conditions, tough team to break down blah, blah, blah...
-
i thought you could nominate any game, surely you would have got leeds ticks instead
-
the ground wasnt too bad, but the metal band in the sports and social club we went too could have been better...
-
i tried on friday and the only ticks available were blocks 132-135 in the £24 category
-
I thought lambert was immense, won evrything in the air, showed some really good touches on the floor and took his goal well. If kevin davies can play in the prem, surely rickie could too.
-
some one beat me to a john terry joke, bugger
-
if you did a points per pound table we would be bottom by a huge margin. FACT.
-
spot on, could not agree more
-
Does today's excellent performance and result prove..

or perhaps a multi million pound side(and manager) have bucked their ideas up now that the chairman is miffed with the results -
i support them and especially NC's comments about league form not being good enough, he seems my sort of chairman. doesnt settle for the mediocre sh*te we turn out every week
-
i still hate davis for costing us promotion in 07 - i Have never rated him. would like to see forecast or bart get a chance
-
saw all of those goals and have to agree MLTs was sthe best
-
Maybe, but if Pompey go bust David Gill isnt going to say to Malcolm Glazer 'look at that guys, we need to lower our debt'. They will plough on regardless. It would be interesting to see what would happen if Liverpool dont make the champions league this year.
-
he had a hissy fit in the first half which just spurred us on
-
i agree, but i feel it will need a truly big club to go bust. Say a liverpool or manchester, pompey going bust would cause a few ripples of change but nothing like one of the big four going under
-
yes fans were ripping wing mirrors off and pushed down a flismy fence the Ob had erected
-
did anyone see that bloke in the pompey end (with the blue and white stripey) who ducked when we scored because he thought a torrent of loose change was coming his way! He got a bit tetchy before half time and ripped his shirt at the end of the game, compete pussy though.
