we were so poor upfront on saturday though, and defended with naievity, the spine of the team need to be experienced and the younger players can fit around them. I say Davis-Svensson-Wotton-Stern John would make a good spine. i'm not saying that wotton is our best midfielder but he is old enough and wise enough not to get mugged off the ball as often as some of our younger midfielders.

I went, no cutting edge up front and we looked exposed on the wings at times. I thought thomson and Lallana played well. we deserved to lose after being on the rack for 70 minutes.

Couldnt see many positives, we had little shape and we were left exposed down the wings a number of times. We lacked a decent striker, but Thomson and Lallana played well. I cant believe we cant to afford to keep one of our decent strikers (rasiak or John) especially after watching the game. severe lack of cutting edge, hopefully Lowe will have seen the game and think we might be able to keep one of them...

Just back from the game, and we did not deserve anything out of it. We had a good opening spell where we didnt make it count , then spent the rest of the game on the back foot. It could be viewed as a positive that we scored with pretty much our only shot on target!
