I think AW showed incredibly bad judgement sending AOC on in those circumstances. He must have great faith in him.. Personally i hope that Alex does go on to become a great player.... yes, he followed the bright lights, but we got a very good deal for a 17 yr old who may or not go onto live upto his potential. I pay very little attention to ex-saints achievements at other clubs, but hope that one day he will be a shining light for England!!!

I dont get the physio thing about Adkins - Bob Paisley was Liverpool's physio before he took over there and became one of Englands most successful ever managers.

Barcelona are better than saints? but we have Lallana.They have only got Messi. After having watched all their triumphs with my Barca mates I wouldnt mind them come acropper against an English team. They dont hesitate to wind me up about their recent glories so would be nice to see them experience the sharp end for a change.

I am surrounded by Barca fans and can assure you that they incredibly smug about football/ Messi etc...after the success of Spain in recent times and Barca's rise i want Utd to win to remind them that football isnt all gravy.....my experience of football as a Saints fan is that its mainly suffering with moments of delirious happiness, not the other way round.

I was about 8 and cut the match report out of the echo to stick in my scrapbook. There was a photo of him scoring a header where he had jumped about as high as the crossbar and he was headering down into the goal. Not bad for a bloke who looked about 5 ft tall. Wonder why he was never signed.

I was at the La Ling friendly...wasnt it against Gothenburg or someone like that and finished 4-4.I think la Ling got a hatrick but not a contract out of it.

do you think that Cortese has really banned the photographers because he wants the money from our photos or because he only wants photos released that show Saints in a pòsitive light (Marcus was rumoured to want Saints to stop arguing with refs etc to give a good impression etc)? If for example a saints player headbutted an opposition player would Saints release a photo of the player getting sent off? Up the Saints.
