I cant see the point really...seemed a decent sort when i have seen him interviewed on tv and did pretty well his first season at Español but hardly set the league on fire since. Up and coming maybe but why get rid of Adkins unless its for someone proven as obviously top class.

Be great if the return of Cork and Ramirez heralded a change in recent results. With all due respect mate why do you have to get so hectic about it? It's just my opinion. If we had the same amount of cover up front as we have defensively then of course it would have been insanity to let him go. However that isnt the case. The problem doesnt seem to be scoring goals more to stop them going in our net.

Do you think that Billy would have got in the team in front of SRL, Jay, Mayuka or Chung? He would have just been here on the bench or the reserves .

I think it's also worth noting who the players brought in over the summer replaced in the starting 11... Chaplow, Hammond, Barney, Guly, Butters, how many of them would you have liked to have seen starting yesterday? Yes its glaringly obv that we need to strengthen at the back.. if we can strengthen at CB and LB in the same way we have strengthened over the rest of park then I feel we will have a team capable of staying up.... I do think that how the team defends as a whole needs to be considered and tweaked as well as just blaming the back 4 as the OP suggests. 3 OGs in the first 7 games is pretty unlucky too.

Frank Worthington would def be on my list..... had amazing skills and always looked like he had had 10 pints the night before and had just got up. Bet he smoked roll ups at half time.

Who realistically expected us to get anything from an away trip to Everton? They are stronger than they have been for years and are in a rich vein of form. They were at home and we are still finding our feet after a long absence from the prem. Most ppl say they will be happy if we finish 17th.. if we do it its going to mean a few more results like this at very difficult places to go like Goodison.

I had exactly the same experience on a work training day about 15 years ago.... they were div 2, we were div 1 and he was going on about them being a much bigger club than us... I have hated them ever since..

Damn right.... What a player Eklund was...! Not sure how many players have made such an impact for Saints in such a short period of time... I remember we got him from Barca but i cant remember why he left... I wonder if NA is thinking we should be looking for the forwards to be playing through balls for J Rod to run onto or getting the ball in to SRL... big call for NA in such an important game..... praying he gets it right.

I think we should wait and see how we get on against more realistic opposition before doing anything drastic...I mean if it goes on too long something will have to be done, but we only have 3 players who have any prem experience and 2 are arguably the 2 weakest links in the team.The others are having to learn bloody quickly against teams that are among the favourites to win the Champions League. I think we should see how we are going closer to xmas before making a judgement on NA.

+1....spot on... Adkins said he wanted 2 CBs.... I reckon Yoshi was the 2nd of those CBs as he can cover LB too but that we werent able to land our 'main' target for whatever reason....just imo of course....

I thought everyone was happy we got Mayuka as we wanted some pace in the attack?

Still proud though...there were times we were all over one of the best teams in Europe.
