Yep. It’s always everyone else who is at fault. Never him, no way, couldn’t be. When it’s actually explained why what he said is genuinely offensive he responds with “So what? You are just trying to make something out of nothing. Back to the real world.” A hideous individual.

I feel like you might be wasting your time. Time and again this person has been “careless” with terminologies but when the ignorance is pointed out he plain couldn’t care less. ‘Offended by it? Well that’s your problem not mine’.

Pretty sure Suella is a Tory. -

I don't have a problem with the vote per se, it's an important issue and should be on the agenda for discussion Also no problem to Labour's approach to it, it was made abundantly clear in their manifesto that they wouldn't be scrapping the cap yet but may look to do so further down the line. Plenty of Labour MPs were capable of making their personal points on it but still toeing the party's published line. No surprise of the composition of the 7 that didn't. -

Child benefit is a maximum of £25 per week per child. If anybody is having kids so that they can soak in all of that lovely child benefit funding then they've probably got their priorities wrong. -

I think it's item 2. This item doesn't poll particularly well but neither does it poll badly, and I think it can very easily be spun as a positive thing in terms of making positive steps to arrest child poverty. Starmer would have looked spineless had he gone against all of his manifesto promises where he and the party stated that they wanted to remove the cap but it's not a number one priority and they can only look to address it further down the line. I think they bought time with their MPs by promising at least a comprehensive review of it, I personally expect the 2025 budget to scrap the cap (autumn budget is likely too soon). -
Shes already 2 points up in the first national poll by Reuters and Ipsos. Tbf Slow Joe was only 2 points down. Long way for this one to go now now the Dems have sorted their shit out and gotten behind Harris very quickly.

Thought there’d be more Labour rebels than that. No surprise to see McDonnell and Wrong-Daily among them. I reckon Starmer has promised he’ll revisit the cap in the next budget. -
Not really a fan personally, but as it’s a concept it obviously won’t look anything like that (and will probably be much worse).

Report from 13 June. So while the Tories were still doing their thing. https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/immigration-system-statistics-year-ending-march-2024/how-many-people-do-we-grant-protection-to#:~:text=Sixty-two per cent of,or alternative forms of leave. As a result of the high grant rate over the last year and the increase in decisions, the number of people granted asylum (68,564) is the highest in a 12-month period since records began in 1984. -
Bob60 going for an absolute record level of smilies in the CoT thread. He might even beat Always at this rate! Good to have you on board Bob 👍

I seem to recall that game wasn’t on tv or on stream so, outside of those who travelled up, not many got to see it. Pretty sure most of the vitriol was reserved for the players rather than manager though, it was more of a case of “at least Martin will have learned how bad the reserves are”.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c6p24l5254xo Bbc report on the next Tory leadership hopefuls 🤣 They’re absolutely fucked if the list in that report is anything to by. Even Mel fucking Stride thinks it’s worth giving it a go, the feckless wankstain. Honest Bob Jenrick, Cruella, Priti the evil weeble, James not Cleverley and Bad Enoch already starting their engines. Tugenhat and the abominable Atkins also likely to get their elbows out. It’s just an embarrassing collection of utter shite. Good for them they’ve got nearly 5 years to find someone at least slightly credible.

Kuntberg is a disgrace and has got worse and worse in the past year or two, nowadays she plain doesn’t even bother to hide her own feelings.

“The UN should stop faffing around and take action” “How?” “I don’t know” I knew there was a reason I used this site, it’s the unparalleled attention to detail and in-depth knowledge. Absolutely brilliant analysis.

I’m sure it is. I just didn’t really read the team sheet properly pre game then realised halfway through the first half we’ve only got two defenders on the pitch.
-
Bit weird for Flynn to go CB. Assume Janny B is still on his holibobs but we’ve got THB, Wood and Stephens. Still not sure what the starting formation was.

Which channel? Cant find it on mine and the Saints channel isn’t working.

Interestingly, AA is in but Flynn Downes has been given the armband.

Maybe turn it off, unplug it from the wall, leave it off for 30 seconds then plug in try again. Bet it works then.
