It’s needs putting into context (again) but it was Cardiff reserves. In the second half as they tired. A good showing tonight but some of the “this should be our first team” guff written throughout match is laughable. Let’s enjoy the result. Fernandes showed he’s got something about him but none of these other lads are beating down the first team door based on that.

Still only 22 but absolutely bossed the middle tonight. It was only a game of reserves v reserves but he definitely stood out. One to watch I reckon.

MOTM for me was Rubin Colwill. Looks like a flipping great player in the making.

Well, I feared a Gillingham and it’s definitely not that. I like that our nippers seem quite fearless. They’ve made their share of mistakes but it’s been largely positive, looking to pass and get forward quickly and effectively. Not particularly expecting any of these to break the first team immediately. But a decent showing at least that our reserves give a little bit more of a shit than their counterparts did this time last year.

A bit from column A, a bit from column B for me Clive. Also need to remember that we’re playing against Cardiff reserves here.

That’s what I thought, Dibling just let him go. Good shot and doubt a keeper would save it but Lumley was absolutely nowhere to even try.
