Reparatory justice for the transatlantic slave trade

Dont tease me 🥰 -
Yep, Pelle was great at the hold up. Got us up the pitch so well. I have great memories of Rickie Lambert being a master at it. Especially in the lower leagues but also the a prem. we could go,long and he was supreme at positioning himself when marked to take the ball down and lay it off. An absolute master at his craft. Pelle wasn’t in that class but he brought plenty more to the table in other areas. How spoilt we were.

They were the genuine scandal of the piece. Horrendous stuff. No wonder he took all that lolly from the donor to smarten himself up. -

As brainbox Kemi has taught us, despite any background one can become working class if they work part time in McDonalds for a summer. -

It may have, it may not. The Tories brought in a tobacco and vapes bill in 2024 and it didn’t go this far, it said there would be more on the spot fines for retailers selling to the underage but no general ban. There was talk of bulking it up but it never progressed as we edged towards election. Good policy this one IMO, goes to tackling underage smoking/vaping and also address the ridiculous concept of 5 millions e-cigs going in the bin every week. -

The Greeks gave us gyros and tzatsiki, they get a pass. Plus Greek salad, the king of salads. -

I always find apologies for these sort of things to be a bit pointless. Maybe apologising "on behalf of the Government" goes somewhere towards acknowledging a wrong, but it's a bit meaningless in terms of being a personal apology if it was generations away. Sunak had it right when he ruled out reparations. So did Starmer when he repeated that line. It would be nonsense to even consider it. -
I think nic is a brilliant poster.

I did read that yesterday and wondered what the great unwashed are going to think about having the luftwaffe patrolling our skies. -

No. Politicians may be in different parties but it doesn’t mean they’re not allowed to speak to each other. -
He hadn't been in front of a judge and jury, no. But.... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/clyly5122yeo "Chris Kaba shot man in nightclub days before his death" is the headline. Sounds like he was a lovely chap.

I was in Southampton with my cousins but didn't have tickets to the game. We stood outside a Rumbelows near Debenhams that had Ceefax page 303 on for about the whole second half.

So, for season 2022-23: Ralph got the gun on 7th November, a 1-4 home defeat to Newcastle in our 14th league game of the season being the straw that broke the camel's back. We had avoided the bottom 3 all season (except after week 1) until after the Newcastle game when we dropped to 18th. We had 12 points from 14 games at that point. Jonesy was appointed on 10th November, saw the side lose at Liverpool, then didn't play again in the league until Boxing Day. As we know he lost 7 out of 8 in the league, a rare win at Booodison Park providing his only points return. 3 points from 8 league games (plus a cup win against Man City). Selles took over for the rest of the season and had 16 games in charge. Lost 10 of those, won twice, drew 4. 10 points from 16 games. SR have pulled the trigger 3 times before with underperforming managers. One wonders how long until number 4 comes along.

I don't think they'll have to.
-
Which is a different issue to him interfering with play while at in an offside position.
-
He wasn’t offside when he backed in. You can’t be offside from a corner. He was in an offside position when the header was made, but the backing in had been done by then. My instinct would be to disallow it, but as I said earlier, I can see both sides of it.
-
Contact with the keeper happened before the header. Bit of a grey area this one. I can see why it was given, I can also see why it could have been reversed.
-
Quick bit of advice, Nic. If you’re gonna call others thick, get your grammar right whilst doing so 👍

There’s many things to criticise Russell Martin for. It’s moronic to blame him for only winning the playoff final by a single goal.

And it’s my ball, and I’m going home. Harrumph.
