This is so confusing... watching a web stream of the game which is 40 seconds behind the 5Live commentary! Kelvin is having a superb game today though.

We do seem to be doing well so far... but when Utd are on the counter we seem to have no idea what to do.

It could be argued that we're playing 4-4-2 today, with McG and Paterson up front together. I'm not hopeful of a win, but I am hopeful of an entertaining game of football.

London is an easy commute though, as is Reading. So teams like Fulham and Reading who have both been linked with Surman are believable. There are also some very nice places to live that sit inbetween these locations and Southampton, making it easy for both to commute.

I never understand the logic in interviews like this, if it's clear a player is leaving. Surman can't claim not to know anything... if he knows nothing he needs a new agent who can communicate properly! But why make the effort to state you're going nowhere if you know you are? All that does is gets peoples hopes up and makes you look a liar when you walk out. Not the way to win respect in the game, IMO. If he said nothing and moved, claiming he wanted Prem football experience and a new club to learn from, I don't think people would feel anything bad towards him. Towards the fact he has left, sure, but not him personally as we can all understand wanting to play in the Prem.

Hopefully because it will give him the clout to shake Lowe about a bit. It will also mean if Crouch has any contacts that would be interested in taking over, it would make their path into the company much easier. Wasn't there talk that Crouch had found a potential investor at one point, just as he was forced out? If there is any truth in that (I'm sceptical TBH) then the more shares he holds the more chance he has of enforcing such a takeover.

I think you're right, but for a different reason. If we hit League 1 it will be while in Administration. If we're (rumoured to be) struggling to stay afloat now then we have less chance of surviving as a company in League 1 with less income and less season tickets sold, so Administration would be inevitable. In that situation, Wilde would stand to lose everything he has invested. So given the shaky financial and business ground he's on right now, it makes a lot of sense to get out now while he can at least salvage a little bit of cash back. Please sell to Crouch though. And please, please let all this be true.

Why do I have a feeling that this is the time that Lowe will look to increase his shareholding? With a rock-bottom price, he will find a way of buying more either to increase the say he has and the chance of staying on long-term, or to increase the amount he makes from any takeover or buyout.

I'd really, really like to see Saga given a long extended run in the team as our first choice striker, as McG has enjoyed. McG has given relatively little return for JP's patience and support. I would bet that with the same number of games and the same confidence that his place is secure regardless, Saga's return would be much greater.

Trouble is, you'd look like most other football crowds in the winter when it's 0degrees outside! Loud and proud gets attention!

That's the sad thing. Those who have spent large amounts of money on shares wont want to sell up at a big loss. And those who were gifted their shares wont want to sell up at less than they could have gotten previously, or less than they could potentially get in the event of a full-takeover. It would make it cheaper for anybody who is serious about taking over the club 100%, but they would still end up paying above and beyond the current share price. It's times like this that the likes of Fulthorpe show their true colours. If, as we have been lead to believe by posts on this forum, the money is in place and Fulthorpe is ready to move, then now is the ideal and cheapest time to do it. But sadly I think we all know how serious that rumoured takeover is.

That's the sort of idea that would work well. Also, if you could get the Echo to print and distribute with every copy a Lowe Out sign and also have a bucket load of them printed and handed out for free outside of the stadium, you'd find that more people will join in. The sort of person who is just there to watch Saints play are more likely to wave around a Lowe Out banner than they are to boycott a game. For those who care it's a clear message to Lowe. For those who don't care it's a bit of fun to join in with. Either way, it looks good. Do this for a game that's on TV, get some good chants going and it would be impossible for the cameras and commentators to ignore. You may even find the support for the players on the pitch improves are people are so lively and up for making noise! Stewards at the last home game were instructed to remove any inflammatory banners, so you have to be careful. But a simple Lowe Out would do the trick.

The City Vs Rovers thing is actually good for football in the City, as it sparks debate and a bit of competition. I lived there for many years and loved the little battles

Has anybody got some stat's about other CCC or even Prem clubs share prices for comparison? I wonder if it's just SLH's share price or football clubs across the board that have dropped today?

Would probably spark rumours of another takeover! Or snowflakes in hell?
