The Perform group don't give a crap and blame everyone else but themselves, so I'd recommend emailing Saints directly. They will care if a company representing them are making them look like amateur, unprofessional, halfwits. When I did this a few weeks ago about the very same problem, I had a really good email back from them so they do pay attention.

Pressure will only come into it is NA if failing to achieve what NC has set out as his requirements. We know NA can motivate, he has demonstrated he is willing to make changes where required and he has shown decent tactical awareness so far. Being a physio, he will know the importance of physical conditioning and fitness and his sport science and psychology background will all add to his chances of success. If this all comes together and works, we will win more than we lose (we WILL lose games!) and success will come. If that happens, there will be much less pressure. If it doesn't happen and we don't achieve promotion and a steady rise up the leagues, it wont matter how well he deals with pressure as he will already be failing. In this situation, his job is at risk regardless.

Anyone who makes or changes their opinion based on one game alone isn't worth listening to, IMO. How often do you hear of teams going an entire season 100% unbeaten? Of course we're going to lose games, of course we will be out played from time to time, but that doesn't mean we suddenly become a bad team or have a bad manager. That can only be judged over a much longer period. People are too quick to shout and scream.

I had a really nice email from Jordan Sibley apologising for the **** up last week and offering assurances that they are working hard to improve the service of Saints Player. That lasted a long time... At least they have corrected it quickly this week.

This, and 'Wotsit give us a wave' (those there will know...) are two mighty fine examples of this chant working nicely. Excellent distraction.

I disagree, I see no difference and see both as equal. This conversation is moronic and childish though, it is OK if people disagree with you. People wont laugh at you.

I think putting an upper limit on ticket sales is worth considering, as is enforcing some sort of 'affordable' pricing for a certain (relatively small) percentage of the stadium capacity to open it up to as many people as possible. But otherwise the club should be able to run their business as they see fit. If they get the pricing wrong they will either force people away, or lose potential profit, which is their lookout.

That's pretty much what this forum is dedicated to We all know best, always.

Shouting that to Bournemouth puts them down and belittles them. Shouting 'Who' at players puts them down and belittles them. Both are light hearted banter.
-
Explain why then? Rather than just calling everything idiotic, explain your reasons as you're asking others to do? What do you consider to be acceptable to shout at the opposition?
-
It's just fun, it's not serious, it's not aggressive, it's not doing anybody any harm. It's just about putting down the opposition in the vague hope it might distract them. Nothing wrong with that at all, it's what we should be doing IMO. If we were talking about getting at our own team I'd be with you 100%, but we're not. For the sake of balance then, what do you consider to be an acceptable thing to shout at the opposition?
-
I don't see anything wrong with a bit of intimidation, booing the opposition, 'Whoooo' or anything else to get on the oppositions back. Anything that can distract them just a tiny bit is a good thing... especially if in the long term it makes people wary of SMS. It's all a part of football, don't take it so seriously.

Man shouting at football player at football stadium shocker.
-
DITTO. I hope he enjoys it and wants to stay and I hope they are impressed and want to keep him. Win-Win-Win as we get rid of him
-
It sounded like we got a bit excited and sloppy towards the end, is this a fair comment?
-
I don't, but good call.

About time. Saints Twitter blame the hosts... the hosts blame the Saints. Pathetic really.

It's not like this is some new service and they are just learning the ropes... it's been running for a while now. Bring back Radio Hampshire!
-
I've forwarded it to the Main SFC email address. ****es me off as not everybody can get to the games and this is the only way of following SFC... not freaking Barnet/Chartlon or whoever else they decide to play!

Reponse from SaintsPlayer... according to them, it's the clubs fault: Hi Rob, Thank you for your email. The Perform Group are contracted to host the website by the FLi (Football League Interactive). Part of that contract is to provide streaming facilities for audio commentary. The club itself is responsible for selecting a broadcaster to provide that commentary. The broadcaster (usually a local radio station) is responsible for providing that commentary via a landline to the Perform Group so that it can be encoded and streamed. In this case the radio station connected the incorrect match to the ISDN line, we will speak to the club to ensure that this does not occur again. We are working hard to have the problem corrected Although we do our best to ensure that the commentaries are correct, we are totally in the hands of the radio station, over whom we have no sanction. We do however apologise and hope that it is not too inconvenient. Best regards Customer Services

I've just emailed them with that very sentiment! ****ing amateurs.
-
That will stop broadcasting the football when the game kicks off. Saints Player carries on from where it leaves off.
-
Neither were from open play though, to be fair. I'm sure half the team could have scored two from the spot, but what we are lacking is creativity and goals from open play. I'm not sure if dropping RL is the right thing to do, but it will be very interesting to see how Adkins manages this problem, as it certainly is a problem. I think some man management and motivation might be the answer.

Rupert Lowe did Good Things while he was at the club - discuss
RobM replied to dubai_phil's topic in The Saints
Fair enough... IMO, the new stadium, the focus on the academy and the desire to not just follow the old school deserve some respect. If he wasn't quite so blinkered in his own good ideas being the only way, he could have actually done a lot more.
