  1. Quite right, Professor. I actually think Gobern kept his cool well after the event - I'm sure many other players wouldn't have taken kindly to being pushed around like that.
  2. Your glass is certainly half empty. Why not look at it the other way... in your opinion we're not playing well, our key players aren't at their best and our football isn't as attractive as it could be, yet we're still winning games, scoring well, maintaining a good points-per-game average, defending well, rising up the league and we are still a very good shout for automatic promotion. All that, despite things being as bad as you see them. Surely that should make you happy? Just think about how we could be doing if things were as good as you expect them to be!
  3. Sums up my thoughts nicely. The way he curled his body when he jumped seems to back this up... the lad ran with the intent of jumping at the ball and making himself big, changed his mind late when there was no way of backing out, but was in mid-air by the time that thought process started. Lack of experience, too keen to impress and something he will certainly learn from. Let's not kick him out of town just yet.
  4. I would imagine it would be a slightly older, wiser head to come in as cover, rather than a new and exciting proposition for the first time. But I hope it's the latter, I hope it's an exciting new signing on loan until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent move. It would be a great boost for the run-in.
  5. Ahh... James Beattie - Muffins!
  6. That's just daft.
  7. What did I do wrong? You didn't provide clear instructions and a diagram, nor a helpline to call for assistance.
  8. I give a ****e. I'll be happy to go up under any circumstances, but I go give a ****e. It's why I support Saints, it's what I'd expect for any team in our position, I want to see convincing performances and hard work to form a well deserved automatic promotion. Why wouldn't I care about that?

  10. Brilliant idea.
  11. Judging by this forum, you should be on the edge of a nervous breakdown, with a knife against your wrist and standing on the edge of the Itchen Bridge with bricks tied to your ankles. Pretty serious, really.
  12. If we didn't play in red and white strips, I'd love to see us play in red and white stripes.
  13. Desperately sad news and a awfully young age to go. One of my favourite players for Saints for a long while. RIP Deano.
  14. If this game turns boring, can we have the lady back telling us SaintsPlayer is working fine for her?
  15. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?28537-Saints-Player-WTF!!
  16. Ah boo, they fixed it.
  17. They are now talking about the fact we can hear them talking
  18. I love the fact they have no idea we're listening to their conversation about Twitter and Internet Explorer. So, be honest... who else is waiting for her to swear and slag off female lineswomen?
  19. I am. If you look through the teams we have to play, we should do fairly well against most on our day. But two games a week, almost every week until the end of the season is a lot. Fortunately, we have a good sized and very competitive squad. But then on the flip side, we have all been crying out for a consistent team selection for the last few years, so it's going to be very hard to achieve that. The other thing to consider is it's far more likely that we will pick up injuries when games are so regular, with so little recovery time inbetween. As we saw with Lallana, in some positions we are one injury away from a bad spell and with the fixture list looking as it does, a two week injury could mean four games out.
  20. Has anybody seen a football forum around here...?
  21. Our man Rickie is in the Top 10 for Soccer AM's Goal of the Year for his strike against MKDons last year. Check it out and, most importantly, vote here: http://www.socceram.com/goaloftheyear
  22. To be fair, he's a ****.
  23. Anybody who has to answer a question with questions, sarcasm or abuse doesn't have an answer.
  24. He has been through a transfer window now, so yes it's his squad. Players would have been leaving and joining like nobodies business if he thought we needed it. But he has kept what he wanted, added a few new players to the squad in positions we all said we were weak in and now has the rest of the season to make it work. So yes, it's his squad, IMO.
  25. Very clever indeed... think about how many visits that site has just had, which of course makes advertising more profitable.
