I'm almost tempted to stick a quid on this each week, just for that one day your joke becomes reality!

We can't see what happens in training though, nor what is said in the dressing room and in the team's tactics discussions, so it goes both ways. We know very little really. I'm a huge Lambert fan, make no mistake, but I'd like to see JRod up front alone with Gaston, Punch and Lallana / Davis behind him. All are players that like to run, press, challenge and are very mobile. It's a shame that there seems to be a fear of even talking about Lambert not playing though. It's seen as though any hint of that is equivalent to direct abuse aimed at him, or thinking he's ****.

Whilst I'd never be stupid or ignorant enough to compare Lambert to a Vauxhall Corsa, I do agree that the new style doesn't seem suited to him. It's a style based around high-tempo, pressing, running and being constantly on the move... all of which are things we all acknowledge are weak points in Lamberts game.

I think if Morgan were to be suspended, Davis or JWP would get the nod ahead of Chaplow. This is a good loan move for Chaplow though. It's a shame somebody with his commitment couldn't make it at this level with us, but he's never really done it in the Prem before so it's no surprise. Top-end Championship is about his level, IMO.

Liverpool are also less likely to come with the game plan of stopping us from playing, like QPR did. They'll come to attack and IMO, that'll suit us more.

A valuable point. But my god we're crap up front. Loads of chances on goal, many shots on target, yet we just can't shoot. At risk of being lynched, Lambert had yet another distinctly average game and didn't offer a huge amount. JRod had plenty of chances but kept shooting at the 'keeper. We were on top for most of the game, but we just cannot score. We have had this problem for too long. But still, overall, a valuable point.

And yet we've still had three times as many shots on goal and are still attacking more than they are.

Behave. There is nothing to suggest they want it any more than us. We're still doing well, attacking, creating chances, shooting, putting balls into the box, we're just not scoring... but neither are they.

Very good CB, very calm and assured. Today against Norwich he has stepped into a CB position at times and really saved us against some clear-cut chances. Not a good RB at all though, none of his qualities suit that position.

Sadly yes. One of those games where we're on top for the majority, dominate most statistics, but you always sense they are just as likely to score as us.
