Random Ex- Academy Player Transfer News no-one will care about...
Rut replied to The9's topic in The Saints
Corby left Indy Eleven in Jan 2015. He now plays for Forest Green Rovers in the Conference: http://www.transfermarkt.com/corby-moore/profil/spieler/206268 The NASL is the league under the MLS. Conference is probably about the same standard. -
If Chicharito did sign for Saints it would give Saints a lot of Mexican followers. Don't underestimate this following. Football/Soccer/Futbol is the religion in Mexico. Go into a Mexican restaurant with Chicharito on the back of a Saints shirt. 'Sure - I'd love a complementary beverage. Thank you'. We'll see. A bit of a long shot this one I reckon.

Which one? Newcastle? West Ham? If you hate Man Utd then don't feed the arrogance. Which team has brought the least fans to St Marys this season? They're the best ones.
-
Hope the 'Liverpool coaches' back to Torquay, Dover, Cardiff, Oxford etc all explode. Bunch of glory supporting c#nts the lot of them. To any scousers who actually traveled down from Lpool on the train then here's to you enjoying many a replacement bus service on your trip home.

http://oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/241083/southampton Well they hate us less than Man Utd or Arsenal anyway. Fair play - if it was the other way round I'd want them to make the top 4.

Tottenham have to get to the quarters for it to be moved to the Sunday. For personal reasons this would be very handy but naah - c'mon Fiorentina!

Been priced up at 7m in MLS Fantasy. Bargain!

Saints could be set to tour North America or Japan this summer
Rut replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Hang on a min here. Take a step back. We are talking the 8-0? How many goals did you miss? Chicago Fire v Saints Indy Eleven v Saints Columbus Crew v Saints I think these should be the 3 games of the USA tour. Chicago definitely. How does it all work though - the MLS season runs from March to October. So are we looking at MLS teams who are on a bye week? There ain't that many byes during the English close-season (see schedule below). Sweden and Austria it is... -
Plane(s) to fly over St Mary for Liverpool game - Lambert / Lallana
Rut replied to ashleyb5443's topic in The Saints
When lallana takes a corner don't drop you phone when you are filming just how much you hate him. When lambert scores the only goal then make sure to hang around after the game to get him to sign your 50/50 scarf. Before the game make sure to chat to all the lpool fans with non-scouse accents about just how much you both hate glory supporting Chelsea, Man City & Man Utd fans. -
Boo. You may have had people slagging off all the 'childish idiots' behind the reporters but it was the main thing that kept a lot of us watching. 'Live to the Britannia where Stoke have signed [some foreign mush that nobody has ever heard of] on a 2 week loan' ain't gonna be the same when reported from inside the ground. For anyone in the USA then NBCS has a Premier League Deadline Day show from 6pm ET. Not sure if it's the Sky feed or not. Prob not but whatever - something different to watch apart from College Basketball.

Bossed it. Lost it. Same as Man Utd at home. Sh#t happens. Totally gutted but that's football. Play that game tomorrow and you have to put your life on the winner? 100% would say SAINTS. You wouldn't? Liar.
-
but you'd get excited if it was some combination of lpool/man utd/arsenal? Aren't you sick of media lovedogs like them? I hate teams like that in the FA Cup Final - give me something like Bradford v Mboro in the final any day. The day would have a proper old-school buzz about it for them. Mugs competition anyway. All the big, good teams made a point of losing at home today.

This is the link to the Solent commentary. You need to be in the UK to listen to this. Firefox or Chrome with the Hola plugin (http://hola.org/) can help with this if you aren't in the UK at the moment... http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/30936664

Both teams are called 'United'. So are tons of others. This ain't a Man Utd forum. Just saying...
-
It currently isn't being shown in the USA (either live or on delay). It's not an exact science but often this means it ain't on anywhere else. Hopefully the Radio Solent commentary will be available again (like it was for the Ipswich home game). Way better than nothing.

I read/watched that earlier actually. Led me to this (that I hadn't seen before). Taking pens is easy (just side-foot it hard into the corner). [video=youtube;ujRImS-UgoY]

Who hasn't? My worst Saints one was: We were 20/1 to win at Arsenal a few years back ('only' 10/1 in places but you could get 20/1). A massive price. Couldn't resist. Put 50 quid on. Yep the game where by some miracle we went 2-1 up. Time is ticking down. The 3 mins of injury time are up. Ref is about to blow but lets Van Persie have one more hopeful whack towards goal... You know the rest.

Since when have there been no Prem games for the weekend of the FA Cup quarters? (weekend before Sat 7 March). (or the 5th Rd). It was always no top flight games were scheduled for the 3rd & 4th rounds. Now the 5th & 6th as well? Put me down for 3pm Sat - a way better day out than 1.30pm on a Sunday. Full stop.

Must admit I wanted the Packers to lose so quite enjoyed the ending - unlike the Seahawks fans who left early when they were losing. No sympathy what so ever! http://espn.go.com/espn/story/_/page/instantawesome-seahawksfans-150118/some-seattle-seahawks-fans-leave-nfc-championship-game-early-get-back-see-historic-rally

FFS - is this forum for Saints fans or not? It wasn't given. We won. We're 3rd. Enjoy it.

In the USA the game is live on NBC (think BBC/ITV). Anyone with a TV will be able to watch it (won't even need a poxy license!). This is the first time Saints have been live on terrestrial TV over here. Nice one. Def need to win 4-0 now. I don't see why not. An early goal. Attack. Job done.
-
3 away wins live on UK TV in a week. That *could* be a first. Gotta do Newcastle first though!
-
Flat game. Fizzy result. Bring on Palace.

Is anyone on here one of the hopefuls? Before the season 33 hopeful Saints fans backed Southampton to finish in the top four at 33/1 – they’re now just so they are certainly on the value. One of those punters staked £25 on Koeman’s men and is set to pocket £850 if Saints can finish in the Champions League spots. Another even more optimistic punter stuck £5 each-way on Southampton to win the league at 1000/1.
