    surround sound

Funny that the above linked to Onkyo. I was gonna suggest this one (that comes with all the speakers) USA link (I assume they sell them in the UK as well): http://hhgregg.com/ProductDetail.asp?SID=n&ProductID=23432&BrandStore=All#page Had 4 HDMI inputs and a handy aux-in so you can pipe music from your PC/Laptop into it easily. The woofer is massive and the sound is excellent. There are lots of similar bits of kit around - this is just a suggestion. You get the idea...
  2. Glory supporter. Totton are as short as 10/3 (Coral) to win. Still the outsider but far from written off. Totton are currently 14 games undefeated (12 wins I think it is). What is Bath's form like? Tomorrow's betting treble is: Saints to win Totton to win ISU Sycamores to win Each one of these results will be historic. All 3 will happen.
  3. Crazy that if Totton beat Bath on Sat then they are in the same FA Cup draw as Saints. Totton are on a good roll at the mo and have a great chance on Sat - probably their best ever to make the 1st Rd. I hope Totton don't draw Saints. I'd like Saints to be home to some crappy northern team and Totton to have similar (Leeds). Totton v Leeds may well make the TV and there would be a chance that I'd get to see it over here on USA TV. Now that would be surreal... Back in the real world Saints draw Charlton and Totton lose to Bath...
  4. What are the odds for the 'End of The World' to happen in 2012? Must be pretty short according to some of the above sites.
  5. As Jonny Lewis (above) said... If you are abroad it is worth the money to be able to listen to the Solent commentary and see extended highlights of each game. Especially if you live in a country that the BBC block a lot of stuff from (ie the USA). Hopefully one day a full live video stream of each game will be available. Perhaps just to non-UK users. I'm sure quite a lot of us overseas fans would cough up more than the 40 quid a year for that.

Broncos turned in another great performance tonight. Not quite as impressive as the Saints but they took all San Diego could throw at them and chucked it back. A very tense game but it's 6-0 :-) Chargers could def be there come AFC wildcard time. They were no mugs. No chance in the AFC West though - that is the Broncos. Great press conference from McDaniels afterwards. 'we are still learning and have a lot to sort out' - 6-0 is a great place to start from then!
  7. Wow - you must be 1st person ever in history to get the words 'legend' and 'Hounsdown' into the same sentence. Anywhere south of the tracks is dodgy! Do you remember when Testwood 1st changed it's hours so it finished at 3 instead 4? A load of the older Testwood lot (I was a youngun at the time) all went over to Hounsdown to say 'hello'. Stories of your teachers coming out with hockey sticks to get rid of them all. Just how true was that? Seems crazy to believe that nowadays but back then it probably did happen...

OK - I'm getting worried. Saints looked excellent yesterday. Now a best priced 11/2 (4/1 in places!!!) to win the Superbowl. Big game for the Broncos tonight. I think they will win a close game.
  9. Can't say I do. Care to elaborate?
  10. The tattoo was actually on his chest - just said 'Mo'. He'd have his shirt wide open all weathers to show it off. Was a funny geezer - really hard to understand him and sometimes he'd go 'crazy' for no real reason. ie he'd just decide to run after a bus screaming 'f**** c****' at it. Could be surprisingly intelligent & clued up about things sometimes though. The old bill definitely did hate having to deal with him cos he genuinely didn't give a flying one. Sadly he died about 3 or 4 years ago. Officially! (over the years there were so many rumours about him dying but this time it was true). There is a plaque with his name on in The Ele'. Mo Hutchings RIP I think it simply says. Definitely a Totton legend.
  11. There also used to be a cinema in Totton (The Savoy). Near The Ele' on Junction Road. It is now a block of flats. There's a pic of it here: http://www.southernlife.org.uk/eling_images.htm Along with a lot of other Totton pics (including the Travellers Rest pub).
  12. - Henry's records in St Mary Street - Bondage-In-General next to the Gaumount - Hari & Al sprayed everywhere - Testwood v Hounsdown - The Tumble-In cafe - Doves Burgers - The 'Hit Fifty' in the Contented Sole chippy

Broncos march on to 5-0. I presume they still haven't beaten anyone good yet though? ha ha - yesterday was a classic win. If you wanna see how to win in overtime then watch how the Broncos did it yesterday. Win the toss - keep the ball for a few plays - hit the field goal. All made to look very easy. It was. Was great to see McDaniels going mental at the end. I think it is safe to say that beating New England meant a lot to him! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHdi2Mt-CQw shows a small part of it. Good stuff. Still on for a Broncos v Saints superbowl...

http://www.nfl.com/standings?category=conf&season=2009-REG&split=Overall Broncos & Saints top their conferences :-) I'm a touch worried about the Saints. Worried because this is the first season for ages where I haven't put any money on them to win the Superbowl. I'm on the Broncos @ 80/1 but didn't put a bean on Saints... I guess I could back them now but they are only 8/1. 8/1 to win the Superbowl??? Wasn't that long ago that they were often 8/1 to win a game!
  15. If I was over there I'd prob be going up to that. Saw em a couple of years back - they do all the good Oi stuff (none of that dodgy metal sh*t they experimented with for a while). I finally got to hear the 'Quiet Storm' LP by them the other day. A truly awful record - but almost so bad that it is good. And we're running down the backstreets.... Enjoy.

Broncos go 3-0. Watched them win so easily @ Oakland that it was almost pitiful - *almost* !!!! Dallas next week - a game you can see in the UK. Enjoy. Just watching the Sunday night game. Arizona were set to go 10-0 up. Turned it over though and at half time it is 21-3 to the Colts. The score doesn't quite tell the pattern of the game but ho-hum. Broncos @ Colts in December is set to be 2 unbeaten teams.
  17. At least you got a mention on Solent. They were laughing at the Saints fans who left early and missed it. Thing is - were you gutted or happy to see that we had scored? Fair play to the 921 who made the trip - top stuff.
  18. Even money says you didn't make that 6am train. Evens??? I'd get killed in the rush - make it 1/10
  19. I notice most of the posts on here are about getting wánkered on the way up there. Shocking - doesn't anyone care about the game anymore? I'm only jealous....
  20. Just go on Betfair and lay Liverpool so you are guaranteed a profit. I've got a tenner on West Ham to win - come on you Irons!

I was actually at that game as a Broncos fan. That touchdown was down the end I was at. There's no segregation at NFL games but I didn't get any sh**t for going crazy when it happened. Well the people round me were ok anyway. At least at NFL games you can take your beer to your seat. There's even a cup holder for it - very civilized. People were stood up for every play - no hassle from other fans or stewards about it. A good day out. Next game for me is Broncos @ Indianapolis on 13 Dec. Anyone else going? lol
  22. Good youtube of it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHwXBRNGdGs&feature=related
  23. Van Persie cost me a grand once. No tears shed there. As for the celebration? That was quality. The game was live on TV over here and I laughed loudly when the camera cut away from the close up of him obviously running - to show where he had actually ran to. Lots of poor, hard done by, enraged Arsenal fans going mental - a lovely sight :-) I liked it so much I decided to turn off the Saints radio commentary for a while to actually listen to City v Arsenal game. Good stuff.
  24. Perhaps you could buy a tin of that new stripey paint to tart up your coin before trying to sell it? By the looks of things there's a couple of people on this thread who may well put a bid in.
  25. Yeah I've also got the Saints & England MLT ones. As someone above said - the rarity value is dropping fast here... Also have a few others including Graeme Souness when he was Saints manager. Now that has to be worth a few bob (literally).
