  1. Forest v Saints is now showing up as being live on foxsoccer.tv For me real sport at the mo is the NFL!
  2. Umm - yeah. Plus just watched a couple of hours post-game talk about the game. As a Broncos fan and a 100% Steeler hater then it was bliss :-)
  3. BRONCOS go the biz - fork Pittsburgh. Best OT play ever. Bring on NE slags.
  4. Yeah I'm gonna watch it at home later on as well. I just don't mention English soccer to anyone at work. I have Saints stuff up but nobody really says much and I don't encourage it for times when I do wanna avoid a score. It's worked well so far... I just posted up details for the Birmingham game. That has a pretty short delay on a Sat afternoon so pretty good. You've just been to San Diego? How are the Charger fans there doing? I hope you'll be supporting the Broncos v the Steelers this Sunday. I can't abide all the twtty Steeler fans everywhere (them and the Packers really are the Liverpool & Man Utd of the NFL when it comes to knobhead fans) so this game is a double-biggie. The NFL post-season 4 game weekends are always good. No hiding place now...
  5. Sat Feb 4 ko 12.20 pm ET Saints v Birmingham This is on FSP at 4pm - so quite a luxurious pretty short delay... Again - not showing up yet on foxsoccer.tv but could well do.
  6. Sat 14 Jan ko 10am ET Forest v Saints At the mo this is showing up on FSP on Sun 15 Jan @ 12.30pm (so a 26.5 hour delay). It isn't showing up on foxsoccer.tv yet ( http://www.foxsoccer.tv/upcoming ) but I reckon it may do in the coming days. Being top definitely seems to mean more TV coverage. Hopefully Saints can stay up there for the rest of the season.
  7. Mon Jan 23 - ko 2.45 ET Saints v Leicester is LIVE on FSP & foxsoccer.tv So do you: 1/ Take the afternoon off 2/ Record it, avoid the score & watch it when you get home 3/ Watch it at work but risk having the watching of the game disrupted by ummm, work Think I'll go for 2/ There's no Prem game that night so if any of you have to rely on a bar to watch FSP you should be onto a winner. Enjoy.
  8. Why do you say that? I'm really looking forward to seeing that game. The Bengals were in a right state at the start of the season - 'will they win a game' was pretty much all anyone could say about them. 16 games later and they are in the post-season. Dalton -> Green has become a killer play. Fair play to them. Texans are banged up but with Foster fit & raring to go you can't write them off. With AFC looking a bit weak this is the best chance either team has had for ages to make a decent post-season run. I hope Cincinnati win. Good city & good fans.
  9. Well the post-season games are all sorted. Broncos sneaked in despite looking bleedin awful v the Chiefs. Once you are in it though - anything can happen. Must admit I'm quite glad the Broncos game is the last of the 4 wild-card games this weekend though. I can enjoy the other 3 with dreams of a Broncos win still alive and well. SB bets - I backed Broncos @ 80/1 (now 100/1!!!) and Saints 16/1 (now 5/1) pre-season. Obviously I'm happy with the Saints bet but should have done Broncos at around 16/1 for the AFCW that they have just won.... My dark horse is Atlanta @ 40/1. Saints killed them a couple of weeks ago but that was then.... GB? Obviously favs but if Saints do play as they have done the last few weeks then they'd take em. FA Cup rd 3 and the NFL wildcards = one of the best sporting weekends of the year.
  10. Yep - he ain't hurt and/or nicked - sorted. How long before forums like this have threads called 'Saints Player in Bar (Rumour)' - I give it 5 years.
  11. Give the fox a gun (with a lot of bullets) and shoot the fckin lot of 'em. Job done - in more ways than one.
  12. The AFC really is there for the taking. Nobody is showing any form. Sunday - Ravens just need to win out their last 3 games to get number 1 seed. They look awful and lose. Monday - Steelers just need to win out their last 3 games to get number 1 seed. They look awful and lose. New England looked far from un-beatable v Denver. Anyone who makes the post-season has a realistic chance. That includes Denver & Houston and anyone else who sneaks in. I'm still sticking with a Denver v Saints Superbowl. See you in Indy!
  13. Foxsoccer.tv does work well. In the world of Internet streams you do get what you pay for (apart from the excellent, free ESPN3.com). The Totton & Pompey games were both well watchable and I'm glad I got to see them live. I'll probably cancel it now though until another biggie comes along. If Saints do get promoted then I'll see what happens. At the moment most Saturday Prem games that ain't live on ESPN2, FSC or FSP seem to be shown with not too much of a delay (ie sometime later on the Sat). I can handle that. I'll get to see a lot of live Saints games and the rest with a bit of a delay - sounds pretty bleedin' good to me. It's funny ain't it - I bet all us ex-pats want Saints to get promoted more now than we did when lived in Southampton and actually went to the games. I know I do.
  14. Here ya go - perfect: www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvsVdh90B70 This is definitely the modern version of 'Everywhere we go' - who's up for being the geezer that starts it off then? (just make sure to take some drums & trumpets and to jump about in time - ok?) BTW - I love one of the comments that says "at the end of the day we all stole it from some soccer hooligans in England" - you did? Really? What team used to chant this then?
  15. The Broncos have pushed it in recent weeks but yesterday's game was way too close for comfort. It would be nice to get some catches, successful field goals etc early in the game for once. What a win though. Thank-you Marion Barber for going out of bounds and them fumbling at the perfect moment :-) The winning FG. Perhaps the kicker from Dallas can ask Matt Prater for some coaching. This is how you do it:
  16. Why the drama? Saints keeper has a howler (sh#t happens) but we still don't lose (to a team who'd have gone into the play-offs - ie no mugs). Just watching Reading v West Ham. Surely Saints not winning would fire WHU to have a blinder? Nope - they've been p#ss poor (even before going down to 10/9 men). I can't see Saints leaving the top 2 for the rest of the season. Nobody is good enough to make the challenge.
  17. LV - you always make things complicated don't ya! I had to look up what Roku was. If it works for what you need then fair play. I just have my PC linked to my TV via an HDMI cable. You can then make your TV a 2nd monitor. Drag whatever from the PC onto the TV - a click to make it fullscreen and job done. The espn3 & foxsoccertv streams look excellent like this and you can have the sound coming through your home theatre. Chuck in a wireless keyboard/mouse and job done. Works for me even if this is perhaps a bit too old school for some people (you use a PC???? you use a cable????). What do other people use to watch online stuff via their TV?
  18. For those who have signed up to foxsoccer.tv then Reading v West Ham game is on live after the Saints game. If Saints win then this will be a good follow up. Then the real follow up of course next Sunday...
  19. Don't hate City. Great to see Man Utd not qualify. Even better to see Liverpool nowhere near it.
  20. OK - all signed up on foxsoccer.tv and just watching Palace v Derby live on there. It is HD/widescreen & the quality is superb. There is no score/clock at the top. Old school. No commercials. Feed is from Sky. You can hear the crowd. Full screen available at a click. In 45 mins it hasn't buffered or crashed once. If Saints get promoted then I think we'll have every game available live - either on TV or online through this. It's been nice knowing you Radio Solent but it'll be bye, bye from me... I did say IF there. Long way to go yet.
  21. Good quality? Worked fine? The Totton game is live on there. That is the clincher for me. If I subscribe for the trial month I'll get that & the Pompey v Saints game - plus tons of other stuff: http://www.foxsoccer.tv/upcoming The Blackpool game is live on there as well (despite it being live on TV as well). As an ex-Tottoner then this Sunday is a big deal. Waiting til 9pm ET to watch it will be a killer (plus that clashes with the New Orleans Saints game). Tea Oh Tea, Tea Oh En....
  22. http://www.foxsoccer.tv/upcoming Plus it is live online (subscription). The trial month for $10 will also give you the Saints v Pompey game live.
  23. Did you actually do these bets? Who was the 1st Championship manager to get sacked? Coterill wasn't far off. Apart from Forest then this table ain't too far off. The odds on Saints are looking great value. Fair play to all who backed 'em. If Saints do go up then it'll be interesting to see where the bookies place us to finish in the Prem. The handicap bet could be very attractive.
  24. I'm currently in Colorado Springs & it's pretty cold here. Got free wifi in the hotel so gave in and checked score. 3-0. Nice one. Have taped it to watch in 8 days time though. As for a NFL team. If your wife likes the Broncos then there ya go. Easy choice. We could go to a game sometime as well. My NFC team has always been the Saints & I want them to win any time they ain't playing the Broncos. Went to New Orleans last year and saw Saints in the Superdome. A great city and it's just great shouting COME ON SAINTS.
  25. Fox Soccer Plus. Sunday Dec 4th. 9pm ET (13.5 hour delay). AFC Totton v Bristol Rovers in FA Cup Rd 2. I know most of you won't care too much about this but for me this is going to be great. As kids we used to play in Totton's goalmouth - having to leg-it when 'the bloke' (groundsman) would turn up. We'd always hop over the gate at the back when there was a game on. Often we'd have our own game down the side. Our ball would sometimes go onto the pitch and you'd have to wait for a friendly player to boot it back to you. Totton was really that low-key back then. Obviously they've come on a lot since then (Wembley in 2007 was an amazing feat) but now I'm getting to see them on TV - in the USA. Freaky.
