Neil Lennon is a good man and a good manager. He certainly isn't a "little numpty" as you describe. He has developed the player from a nobody to a £12.5 mill star. Not sure what your beef is.

I only just took a look at this kit. FWIW it looks truly **** to me. What are those flappy white arm bits all about? Looks like a s-h-i-t version of an arsenal kit. His record for Forest this season wasn't great. But in essence, I agree with you that he deserves a chance, initially off the bench. Everyone has written him off without ever seeing him play in the prem. How many people (besides Saints fans) would have done the same to Ricky? Sharp is a goalscorer. I would like to see him get a chance.

I wonder if this is some scheme they have dreamt up to get round the forthcoming financial fair play rules? There will be a £52m cap on wage bills. If a club exceeds the cap, then additional wages cost will have to be funded by increased commercial revenues that the club itself made

On the BBC site paying tribute to Becks, they have a 5 min vid of the 1-0 win v the argies. Owen looks unplayable in a few moves. Such pace. I had forgotten how good he was back then. That vid has a few clips of MP. Apart from the obvious pen, he almost equalised with a header cleared off the line. Watching England at that time, I remember thinking they weren't very good, but compared to the present team, they were awesome. I remember MO crawling off the pitch in agony v Sweden 2006 - very sad to see.

Would rather take James McCarthy but it looks like he'll be heading to a top 5 club.
