  1. No worries - it's difficult on here to read people's posts the right way! I agree with your point bt football is nothing if not emotional I guess
  2. No need to be so defensive. I don't know why they were sacked and was merely asking. Your point about "disloyalty" swinging both ways is an obvious one, but that doesn't stop people feeling emotional about it. Bit like when you get dumped, the girl is evil and unfeeling but when you dump someone, it is completely justified and what's the big fuss?
  3. Hi this is Ralph. Unfortunately I am unable to respond to your email at this time as I am on my holidays. I will be back in six weeks time, but if you can't wait that long, please email Mauricio Pochetino@THFC.co.uk who may be able to help.
  4. Do you know the reasons for Dodd and Williams getting the boot?
  5. Hmmm I can't think why.
  6. Seriously would not want McKay, McClaren, McCarthy anywhere near this club - all very much at home in the Championship, not as a manager of a top 8 PL side...
  7. Will be extremely disappointed with any of those but would all be good in the Championship I suppose
  8. If we lose the manager, lallana, shaw, spider, the core of the side has obviously not stuck together though has it?
  9. no, one will go to Man U, one to Liverpool, one to Arse and prob a couple now to the yids.
  10. Those first 3 are horrendous choices. The second two out of our league
  11. errr no he hasn't. Can't be bothered to google it, but what is his highest ever finish with a team? If we were to get him in, we would be a laughing stock.
  12. What a jerk. He's like a little schoolboy who doesn't like getting his work corrected :-) May be tongue in cheek, but to say Saints have never had any players worth selling (err hasn't Gareth Bale just won the CL?) is just pure cr@p. And as you say, you weren't criticising an industry, just him and his piece of s-h-i-t article. Glad that I don't buy that rag and contribute in any way to his wages.
  13. This post on that Spurs forum made me laugh: If you were Pochettino, you wouldn't be so childish. You'd know perfectly well that a club like Tottenham Hotspur will be looking at a lot of big name managers - some of them considerably bigger names than you - and you wouldn't throw your toys out of the pram about it. You'd just be thrilled if you were eventually offered the job - a job which will pay you far more than your current job and which will allow you to work with far better players and have the opportunity to achieve greater things in the game. Its the typical Spurs "We're a big club honest guv" deluded drivel that comes out of most spuds fan's mouths. Come on Mauricio - you should be thrilled to take over such a massive club
  14. Re reading it you're probably right, although this is the bit I was thinking of when I wrote what I said: Spurs are confident there should not be too much wrangling with Southampton to secure Pochettino, as Saints have already sounded out other managers. Standard Sport understands that Oscar Garcia, the Spaniard who quit as Brighton boss earlier this month, has had a number of conversations with intermediaries and that both Dan Petrescu and Roberto Di Matteo have supporters at St Mary’s
  15. was reading the standard this eve. They seem to think it is a done deal to be announced next week. They also seem to hink we have already had talks with the Spanish geezer who just did so well at Brighton. Nice.
  16. If we get Sherwood in I will seriously consider not going to matches next season
  17. lol lol - I wish my job was just like a footballers in that case
  18. I wasn't saying anything of the sort. I think a lot is lost in meaning writing on these forums. However, the law of averages will not be in our favour if we start selling our best players. Been there, seen it, done it... and it never worked out with a happy ending ever...
  19. Yes, things could get even worse than a lower third of the league scrap for survival if all those players were sold without replacing them with at least some quality
  20. I was buying this until you mentioned Hodgson having any say in the matter
  21. Newcastle, A Villa, Stoke, Swansea have all enjoyed good solid seasons in the Prem in recent years and all have ended up having to sell their best players. To think we won't end up doing the same and consequently end up with the same end result - scrapping it out in the lower third of the league - is naive.
  22. really find it hard to believe that anybody would want sherwood anywhere near saints. He showed how naive he is at spurs last year and would turn into an emabrassment very quickly
  23. If it wasn't a world cup year i would agree with you, but if we sell before the wc, all that will happen is we won't capitalise on the value lallana and shaw will realise by being involved in the biggest trophy on earth and we will then be looking for replacements that probably will have done. I can't see what sense it would make by selling either of them before the wc.
  24. Sounds like he is already trying to impress them. Hopefully the board won't be fooled.
