Think we can do better, but probably need to get over the bad taste in my mouth that selling to the scousers causes Had a quick look > Maddison. Barnes, Bellingham, Ake, Watkins, Sissoko, Pedro all went for >£30m
-
It's 42.5 million. 7.5 million less than we apparently want. We'll see what happens, but no need to get overly dramatic. Just pointing out we can push the price up further. They obviously want him. They'll pay more.
-
Agreed - we need to sell him, not disputing that. Doesn't need to be for the amount being offered and doesn't even need to be this year (but obviously will) I'm hoping Chelsea will be spurred into some action.
-
Couldn't care less whether he is a great fit for the bin dippers or not. If we value him at £50m, then £42.5m with addons later doesn't seem a reasonable deal to me. He has 4 years on his contract I believe. We hold all the cards here. No need to bend over and let them call the shots like they have in the past

not even sure what this is supposed to mean
-
not in my experience.

No it isn't. Their attitude goes beyond what their football team has won. It permeates their whole society, as can be seen the numerous times they have caused issues at grounds over the years (eg Heysel), but it is never their fault. They are always victims, always owed something by somebody
-
Why? No evidence of it so far for sure

Been on the sherry this afternoon Grandad?

The England cricket team get Baz Ball and we get Baz’s Balls ups

To be fair even Coventry players don’t come to the party on a wet night in Coventry in mid December
-
How reliable is Talk Sport? They are saying the Livra deal is not done The Magpies are believed to have offered £30million for the right-back, who has made five appearances for the England U21s. However, this is way below Southampton’s valuation, with the Championship newcomers wanting £50million. https://talksport.com/football/1508055/ Edit: I see it's Alex Crook

I got mine displayed in the living room cabinet
-
Interestingly enough, I believe he is represented by Wasserman, the same agency who represent Eddie Howe
-
Chelsea will have a hefty sell on percentage for sure. At one stage it was rumoured they were in for him. They have a £25m buy back clause as well - would be funny if they came in and gazumped newcastle, although I'm not sure how all that works to be honest I'm sure the deal with newcastle will be dependent on games played given his history of injuries
-
The bit I am disputing is that many people considered him the best RB in the league last year…
-
Not sure if that’s true? Did he get in the championship team of the year? Can’t be bothered to look it up… Either way, he is clearly not Tino or kwp quality
-
Agreed and there really aren't that many are there?
-
they are both shit IMHO, hence why we are playing in the championship
-
All this talk about Tino and not being fussed about losing him, he might not be the same player etc. If he reaches anywhere near the heights he did before the injury, he will be a hell of a player. Bree is a journeyman. Will be a shame not to have Tino for this season, but reality will probably dictate otherwise. However, I won't be one of those saying I'm not fussed about losing him. A reality of relegation, but a shame all the same.
-
We don't get to find the next tino/kwp in the championship I'm afraid
-
I take it you mean any championship club? No Prem clubs would be happy with it
-
and utterly crap defenders and utterly crap managers
-
That's harsh. We all know it was a boyhood dream of his to play for al-hilal
-
Seen a few articles linking us to him. Was a flop at Everton but probably better than Lyanco
