Looks like mccarthy to everton has fallen through due to his high wage demands

Not sure if mentioned on here, but I have seen a couple of snippets reporting us being interested in Isaac Hayden from Newcastle. Was on loan at Norwich last season but was injured a lot.

I wonder how long it will be before their decision makers are prised away. They are doing a mighty fine job and it won't have gone unnoticed by the big boys

True. Reading the RAWK forum this morning to cheer myself up on some scouse victimhood, some on there were seriously suggesting watching who Brighton are looking to place Caicedo with and just lumping in and buying him (because as they say "we are a much bigger club and he would come to us over Brighton" etc etc)

I loved Guly. Was a lot of fun watching him play

Joined Brighton in 2020 and since been on loan at FC Augsburg and Basel. 50 apps for Basel last season / 18 goals / 2 assists. Now back at Brighton with little prospect of playing for them this season. Probably nothing in it, but worth keep an eye on

And 3 jokers as managers

All goalies worth their salt blame their defence when a goal is scored against them. I remember playing CB and our GK took every goal we let in extremely personal and used to shout and swear at us how we let him down etc. It was never, ever his fault. To be fair, it made us all play better because you didn't want to undergo all the shouting, swearing and abuse he'd give you if a goal went in 🙂

No, but they are squad players, so unless you think the back 4 are going to stay fit all season in the champs, we need good cover surely?
-
we let in 3 goals away vs a div 4 side and 4 goals in at home against an average div 2 side. Entirely reasonable for people to be saying they are concerned over our defensive capabilities. Problem is, pretty much all sides in this league will score the bulk of their goals from free kicks, corners, crosses, humps into the box. Unfortunately the very things that currently appear to be our biggest weakness at defending.

Not realistic - you know he will be dropping the contents of his locker all over the place so it will take ages. On the plus side, he'll be really good at picking up the dropped objects given he has had so much experience of picking the ball out of the net

Was just reading that Leeds have lost 7 players on loan, the latest being Harrison to Everton. This is because all those players had relegation clauses in their contract that allowed them to pursue loan deals. Crikey...that's piss poor management hey. So compared to us likely getting something like £140m+ in for our players, Leeds have managed £4m. Things can always be worse!

In past dealings with them, they have pretty much controlled the situation. They thought they could do the same this time and are now surprised they haven't been able to control things as they thought. In an ideal world, we would still be prem and not having to sell Lavia this season. Second best is this.

oddly they have it in their general football and sport forum https://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=354122.47600

The RAWK forum is a wonderful read at the moment. Their main theory appears to be Chelsea are buying both players in order to prevent their rivals competing. And that shouldn’t be allowed and it’s so unfair blah de blah de blah
-
What do you expect though? We are in the champs now. He has scored a shit load of goals at this level so we should be interested

Working hard but “relaxed” if nothing comes of anything.

It's impressive and very much like us a few years back with Mane, Spiderman, Lallana, Van dick etc As we know, the hard part is then replacing that with the next load of talent (or not in our case)

More than Bellingham!
