Come on, finish the sequence - Hughes - Hassenhutl - Jones - Selles Ok Hughes saved us one year, Ralph had some good times before ultimately failing and then Jones and Selles I'd argue we managed to go from the heights Brighton are currently experiencing to relegation because we managed to produce the perfect shit show of poor player recruitment combined with disastrous manager choices (whilst giving Ralph the benefit of the doubt, at least in his early tenure)

Not at all. It doesn't make me feel better. Always best to live in reality though and that is the reality. Also, I think you'll find plenty of other teams that had big numbers of outgoings and this really isn't something out of the ordinary. Bottom line is any player who can leave to play in the prem will do so. It's human nature. I'd do the same if I was lucky enough to be any good at football.

Still might keep 2 or 3 yet. But, as other folks have said before, it is no surprise that anyone who is any good has already/will fuck off and all of the shit players will stay until their contracts run down. That's the way of the world

Grimes was supposedly one of those. He has just signed up at Swansea for another 2 years. Whether he got fed up waiting or we simply were never in for him I don't know

Not ludicrous at all. He gets to show how good he is in the prem He gets a pay rise He will have a clause inserted that he can leave if the club is relegated and a suitable offer is made for him Obviously none of the bigger boys came in for him this time, but if he puts up a good showing this season, he'll get his move up the ladder. What's not to like?
