  1. My suspicion is that the league (including the majority of the league 2 clubs one would assume) probably wanted to impose the penalty next season but because of the statement the league made initially about the penalty applying this season they felt they might have legal problems if they did not do what they initially said. Really all they should have said was "We will treat the penalties for exiting admin without fulfilling the first CVA in exactly the same way as when a club first enters admin" and then it would all have been clear.
  2. I think they should take the 10 points off them this season and put them down in Division 2 straight away leading to relegation to the conference.

  5. Pity, was looking forwards to the episode of the big build where the closing comments were "Oi!, Come back with that camera!"

  7. Oh look, yet another day has passed without the agreement details appearing on the PST website. How peculiar...

  10. just bumping this back to the front page ready for wednesday..
  11. So is there any definitive evidence about how much extra they will get? One assumes that if they are budgeting for an extra 4 million they would have been told that is how much they would get?
  12. I think you are putting too much emphasis on the FL statement about them getting the -10 this season. You have to remember at the time they came up with that statement it appeared that the takeover would be much earlier in the season so I very much doubt they even considered at the time what they would do if pompey came out of admin once they were already relegated. Yes there are no rules about what should happen in this situation but the nearest analogous situation is the penalty for going into admin and I would be very surprised if they did not follow the same thinking and carry over the -10 to next season.
  13. There is only one descent going on here, though some might categorize it as a plummet as descent implies some degree of control.
  14. I am all for a minutes applause as long as appropriate pompey maths along the lines of the CVAs are used, so about one clap.

  16. It's just another broken pompey commitment. So nothing out of the ordinary.
  17. Could you clarify why you think this?
  18. I wonder which side came up with the bulk of the wording for the agreement? You wonder if there was something hidden in there that they don't want to admit they agreed to?
  19. I think you will find they have vanquished portpin with their shield of fan ownership(ish)(not) and their sword of undisclosed out of court settlement.
  20. Maybe factless could spare some time between abusing english and overusing the return key to ask the trust when the details of the deal will appear on their website?
  21. Man City have got 2nd wrapped up and have probably given up privately on winning given the size of the fall needed by Man U. With the FA cup final their only chance of silverware I can see them coasting in the league for a bit.
  22. Man City v Wigan West Ham v Man Utd Fulham v Chelsea Unlike the Sunday match thread I think we can all agree what results we want from these! Unlikely however they will all go to form. My guess is that Wigan will get a draw at Man City but Man U will beat West Ham and Chelsea, who have a large incentive given how close the positions are for 3rd, 4th and 5th, will beat Fulham.

    Sunday Games.

Not if your not as worried about relegation as some. I think we can easily divide this up: I am still very worried about relegation: Newcastle Win I am a bit worried about relegation but think it unlikely now: Draw I think we are safe: Sunderland Win

Got to be a win for Man U against Stoke. For the north east derby I think a draw would be the best result for us but as feeling optimistic I would go for a Sunderland win as second best option?
