  1. My computer has been buggered recently (not lterally) and so I get a few minutes borrow of one and not time to read all this before I get ready for a lift to SMS. I can't wait to get a chance to read it all because I have never had such absolute mirth and enjoyment of their farcical disasters in my life. However, apart from a weekly/daily injection of happiness from the press, if I have missed it on here or another thread, can I please thank with all my heart whoever made that youtube video (Hitler/Storrie ****take etc) which I have just got to see. That was the funniest thing I have seen in many many years and an utter work of genius. Apologies if wrong thread but anything hilarious about the holy ruin of the club near to Havant is surely part of this thread. I hope I get to read all later.
  2. Sorry MDM, only a few seconds of a friend's computer but you are almost definitely right and bloody amazed and proud at our support. Didn't Leeds manage 25,000 against us? Top of the table big club? Didn't Sky say mention that P'mouth took a very small amount to West Ham? To London on Boxing Day Saturday (?) for a 6 pointer. Christ, there is still only team in Hampshire and it won't be long before we're way above their level again. As for me, I couldn't get a lift today! But get to Colchester on Monday so that'll do me. COYMS
  3. Hmmm............there was us relegated with a -10 minus ten points to Div 1 and there was Pxmpey in the the Premiership but some how we seem to be getting more support than them (ground capacity is irrelevant as they aren't filling their shed). You have to wonder, no realise/understand, that we have become a much bigger club than them over the last 35 years and now them look a huge embarassment whilst we remain the biggest club in Hampshire despite a temporary 2 division lapse. Ah, life at laughing at Fishwille while proud of our club is such a joy
  4. I wasn't there to enjoy the proper version but the nearer "Dell-speed" the better imo. It's very dpressing that Spurs, Stoke and others now use it as their song and do it as well as we used to whereas Norham speed puts of most of the older fans. I stand there when I can go and it never fails to disappoint me that we are ssoooo fast. I don't know if that is 45 rpm or 33 rpm. though :-)
  5. I'm rather a sickly man these days with little to cheer me but by christ PFC are proving the funniest thing since Fawlty Towers! With our transformation into a proper club again with much to be proud of and the farcical events over there I couldn't ask for more entertainment :-)
  6. 14,000 home fans (slugs?) turn out for a cup quater final! Oh dear oh dear oh dear. I think we can hold our heads high despite the temporary dip last night. 2 divisions below and our fans remain by far the best in Hampshire.
  7. The Prince of Wales is a fairly ****e pub but one bar is for the away fans. Not usually any problem mingling.
  8. Well I'm not sure how old you are St Tel but if you went home or away to them in the 70s and 80s or grew up during that time I think it would be fairly clear that there was very far from a friendly bit of banter. Pre 1970 possibly but certainly not after.
  9. Oh just posted on the original thread saying what a pleasure it was to hear the recollections of old and young! Heart touching, inspiring and so interesting from the Old Codger. Old bugger must be 3 or 4 years older than my old man who can't make it to games for the last few seasons. Don't some people make you so proud to be a Saints fan :-)* (*Obviously I exclude myself from this category)
  10. FF -this has turned from an interesting thread to a thoroughly enjoyable one. Stories from old or young are a pleasure. My first 3 visits were to Farton Park, including some mad friendly early 70s, the 74/75 2-1 and the following year's 1-0 (Micky Le God last minute and a hell of of a scrap) but first one I was old enough to go without me dad was 1977 Forest 3-3 FA Cup. An incredible game but also the most incredible away following - 10,000 to 12,000? We took the whole of their Trent End and a quarter of one side near by and they were overwhelmingly chased out the former. Fantastic game, atmosphere and on the coach home a stop for a few pints ordered bythe only one of us who looked remotely old enough. We were 15. What a day that was!
  11. I've had to stay half sober all day to make sure I can watch it on telly awake and without blurred vision. FFS! Sounds like a very very good attendance for a televised game at a silly time though.
  12. Doesn't match the 1984 game but mine was also at F.Park for a "friendly" early 70s which we won 7-0 if I remember right!
  13. I've nearly always found Charlton supporters to be complete twxtz so if you could helpfully take the complete **** on there, mention our current form and totally outplaying them last night I would be very grateful mate. Maybe a little mention of Northwich Victoria too please as some of their muppets hoped for SFC to be out of 2 cups in a week. I think they're just acheived that themselves whilst we head for Wembley :-)
  14. Whereas their own stadium is a magnificent 6,500 capacity with only 2 and half sides, a bloody huge distance and a running track between the fans and players and..........sort of in the middle of nowhere useful! The weirdest and least football like ground I've ever been to - back when we won there 3-0 in the League Cup. I'm not claiming ours is in the best spot but you don't have to go from Brighton to London to get there anyway and the bloke is talking out of his arse about the rest. I love Brighton as a city but they do do some strange things with their football fans and their arses.

    Saturday relief

I was rather chuffed yesterday at the thought that the world was my oyster today. Infact I've been up 2 hours and am bored ****less already. The fact of no football to look forward to and the shopping and other chores I could/should do just don't fill me with any joy or excitement :-(
  16. I'm rather disappointed there is even a debate between Saints fans on this subject. It is born, bred and in your blood (or mine at least) that they are the biggest bunch of cxnts on this planet, laugh at their failures, hate their fans and anything related to their club and don't have "skate mates" as those 2 words make no sense together. I hate the club, city, ground and mostly their supporters more than anything with all my heart. I get nearly as much joy at them losing as us winning. And rejoice at the Joiners result! Ffs fellow supporters, how can you not detest that vile scum?
  17. But we'd only be ONE point behind Narge with the same goal difference? We may have a lot of ground to build up on to catch them but they ain't such a better side are they? (Ps If the answer is yes, then don't tell me!)
  18. I'm getting really really ****ed off this season missing some cracking away holes which in previous seasons I'd have gone to. Can anyone lend me about £1,000? You can't get f'ing anywhere on Incapacity Benefit and the thought of Carlisle, Oldham and Hartlepool would be a must in the past. My nephew up in Sunderland and I'm determined to make Hartlepool to see him and Saints at least. Did I mention would anyone lend me about £10,000?
  19. I've stated my opinion on this, in despair, ever since SMS opened - that a "home end" where the home vocal support is actually outnumbered by the away support/allocation is f'ing ****e and NOT the home end. Brilliant, we get outnumbered and outsung on occasion in "our" end and are nowhere to be seen on television either. It's complete ****** IMO and we should have the whole of one bloody end. I don't care whether care that is the Northam or The Chapel but it might make us like look and sound like the home team? We get our 2800 full in the Northam, I imagine that might be a significantly larger congregation in our "end" we if had more space than the 3200 away fans do!!!! Rant over for now. Just for now.
  20. SO unfair when they've only lost Crouchie, Defoe, Nugent and..................oh just loads more. Hahahahahah! Isn't the football world a tragedy these days :-)

    footballfactory

Took it to their main pub and down the alleys and back roads that no-one ever else dared. I'm told.
  22. Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed our late equaliser at Carlisle but to hear on the radio that the above was the worst start in the top division since the 1930s brought me huge comfort and joy. I'm tempted to follow them around the country enjoying their losing sequence and destruction?
  23. Proud that a bunch of mates managed to arrive in the "home pub" outside the ground at 1120 today. **** knows what time they left, including breakfast en route, but I hope all our fans making the journey have a great day and at least a point before the return. If only they had properly introduced Star Trek beam machines I would be there too! COYS
  24. Typical! Were any of you there? Late? I murdered over 40 Charlton and was then murdered myself in SE London twice. Bunch of wxnkers!
  25. Well thanks for ****ing up all our attendance predictions! Now we'll need to start again. 42,707
