I watched the game on a stream, to be honest I didn't think it was that bad a performance. WE looked very tired, which surprised me considering Adkins' "Saints fit" ethos. I thought that we looked a little nervous, particularly in the final third where we all too often looked like we were just too desperate to release the ball, despite lack of support. I thought Liverpool looked OK, we have to remember that we were away at Anfield and it was our 3rd game in 6 days.

JRod is our best player so far! Can't believe people want him off. He's constantly tracking back and defending from the front. Saying that, the rest of them are awful. We have to face it, we don't have the players to play the 'Southampton way'. We need some pace and players that can pass the ball. This lot can't do it.

We've gone from being rubbish at the back but at least looking like we could score to just being rubbish all over. Our passing is poor, we seem sluggish, and uninterested. The premiership is painful, wish we could take relegation now and at least win a couple of games down in the Championship. Still can believe we spent 30m in the summer, I'm struggling to see where we've improved.

Seems to have been an odd decision. I'm not sure he's good enough for the Premiership, so if we thought he wasn't 'Saints fit' then why buy him? Seems to be a lot of money for a player that's going to sit on the bench most of the time. You might argue that his impact has been to make Lambert and Lee up their games, but that doesn't seem to ring true.
