  1. I've been thinking about it since we signed Osvaldo, and mentioned to a bloke at work today that I really don't think we are far off Arsenal with their current squad. Their squad is wafer thin and heavy on creative players. I really don't rate Wilshere, I've never seen him have a great game (though I missed the Barca game everyone seems to talk about). Don't think we will finish above them, but as someone posted above there are plenty in our first team that would get in theirs, and you couldn't have said that too often in the last 25 years. Who of their last starting line up would you want in our team to face Sunderland? Szczesny Sagna Mertesacker Koscielny Gibbs Walcott Ramsey Rosicky Wilshere Oxlade-chamberlain Giroud I wasn't impressed with Arsenal at ours last year and think we were unlucky not to turn them over. I think they are way behind Spurs now and will could possibly finish as low as 6th.
  2. one cap one goal, Legend!
  3. Playstation 3 and masturbation
  4. No, I didn't. Did anyone? We all know the world is ****e, thanks for reminding everyone, again.
  5. Nope, smart player with a brain. He's skilful, doesn't rely on speed to beat players, can pick a pass and more importantly he's intelligent enough to adapt his game. If he can stay injury free next year he could be sensational, would like to see him improve his shooting though. No more posts left, cheerio. COYR
  6. He doesn't look or seem bright enough to be coached. A couple of times he could have played Kone (my man of the match, ideal replacement for Lambert) in, but chose the wrong option (often trying to beat another man or shooting from a poor angle), 22 seems a bit old to start having traits coached out of you, and as I said he looks like one of the players not intelligent enough to have those traits coached out of him.
  7. Exactly the opinion in my household. The 3 touches he needed to get it on his favoured foot early in the 1st half when clear through on goal had me groaning. Bloke looks brain dead, and I'll take bets on him plying his trade in the championship within 2 years.
  8. 7 pages on a game that will have no bearing on our season.
  9. I'd remove and eat my own testes for a FIFA World Club Championship final.
  10. 13 months later, but still 'That's a Bingo!'
  11. When the author is that fit they can write what they want about Saints, don't bother me none.
  12. Blokes a tosser in both senses, he tossed the bottle because he was getting strife about being slow and fat, and he knew he was. He simply took his frustrations out on a bottle, now he's claiming racist abuse, I'm sure we've all heard Guly called a black brazilian whatever? No me neither, what about Fox being a Jock? Nahh never heard his nationality being brought up when slated. Boruc is a loose cannon, lost his rag, threw a bottle and now is trying to make an excuse, we'll be hearing about his emotional journey and Pochettino being his rock before long. Tosser.
  13. It was that season, we also briefly had Ali Dia in the squad. I'd only take Le Tissier and Monkou from that squad, even then Monkou only played well when his contract was up for renewal. Oakley, Venison, Slater > Cork, Schneiderlin, Puncheon??? Nahhhhh. That's my post quota done. I won't be able to post depondently in the match thread later.

  15. I'm always hopeful we'll get a result, sometimes I know we'll get a result. I know we'll stay up. I'm an optimist. I suppose for some it's fun to point out every fault or mistake a player or the club makes, and to point out every difference between us and Barcelona. Those people do seem to have a higher post rate than the optimists though. 'absolutely horrfic result....that is why we are going down IMO'
  16. I imagine at this very moment Pochettino is red in the face, yeling and spitting, ranting and raving, then 30 seconds later the players get a monotone translation.
  17. Gazza against Newcastle clean sheet. Boruc against Newcastle four conceded.
  18. Transfer news! From the Guardian's live F.A feed Within the last 10 minutes La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Philippe Coutinho is on the verge of a move to Liverpool after Internazionale accepted a €13m offer, and that representatives of the Premier League side will be in Milan on Monday to seal the deal. I do like the phrase "Verso la fumata bianca" – "approaches the white smoke", which followers of papal election thingies – Italians, in other words – will understand.
  19. I've had a feeling for the last month that we'll win this one. Almost had a spend up on a trip up there I'm so convinced. Expected a loss at Stoke, Chelsea and home to Arsenal but have seen that we can give anyone a bloody good game!
  20. Apparently they are as likely as man utd to go down though.
  21. having been at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, sitting among Chelsea fans venting vitriol towards their mananger and players I really hope there's no protest as you can see the affect it's having on their home performances. I'm sick to the stomach at what's been done to Adkins and potentionally to our chances of staying up, but stay up we must, and we must get behind the team during the game!
  22. I remember he said he would take Collins just before we played them.
  23. West Ham must be big odds, I'd have a punt on them if only Reading, QPR and Villa weren't so bloody awful. Really don't think QPR have turned a corner, battered by Spurs and battered by a half strength Chelsea outfit, very very fortunate to pick up 4 points. That luck won't last.
  24. Yep, certainly no better than Gazzaniga
  25. QPR, Villa, and Reading are all weaker than us, I think they are the prime candidates to take the bottom 3 places. Fulham, Newcastle, Wigan are of a similar level to us and I don't think West Ham or Norwich are completely safe from being dragged into a relegation scrap. Really think we will be safe.
