Looks to me like he's going, wouldn't want Laudrup or Benitez, definitely not Benitez. I wouldn't say no to Adkins returning, but seeing as that's unlikely I'd settle for a Belgian or Dutchman I've never previously heard of (bar the nationality, much like Pochettino), the Dutch seem to churn out decent young players and the Belgians have just begun to, youth/good football seems to be the way we are heading, and generally I feel north Europeans are more suited to English football, because it's just as grim in their home countries as it is here. Who would be happy long term changing the Catalan environs for those of Southampton?

Get this CLOWN manager OUT of my club
Golac's Iron Gonads replied to 110_Persaint's topic in The Saints
I have missed his avatar, not his posts. However, Pochettino's body language for the last few games is that of a man winding down his last days at work. Going through the motions and off to bigger things. The OP will almost certainly get his wish in the summer, for the good or bad we cannot say. -
You knew Cole would score the moment some plank said he was **** on the build up thread. Why do people say it! Now I'm going to have to say that the West Ham defence will not concede more than 2 and will probably carry them to a champions league place.
-
If Lovren tweets an image of himself kissing the Pompey badge and demanding he be allowed to join them in the summer, and Lallana is caught wearing a Cortese mask whilst buggering a New Forest pony, I reckon Cork could well have a shout

Arsenal 2 Saints 0: What if Boruc had put his foot through the ball as Giroud approached, and Shaw hadn't got injured, could we have snatched a win and gone top?
-
Boruc this season is reminding me more and more of Grobbelaar, if you know what I mean.

Spend 5 minutes just watching Wilshere, awful, loathsome player. Constantly whinging at the ref, and if not the ref then at his own players for no reason. Might also be heading for a red card this game as he's getting niggly with Coutinho. Utterly brainless.

Any of these clueless football watchers changed their opinion in the last 3 months? http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?46909-Lallana-tipped-for-England-cap

Dongdaemun, Seoul, South Korea. -11 tomorrow, my balls are about to begin their winter hibernation somewhere up by my kidneys.

So now we've seen Everton's number 2 keeper is Gazzaniga still the worst in the Premiership?
-
Gaston's hair is a straight red, surely.
-
He's the right age for them.

Cardiff 0 Saints 3 match reaction
Golac's Iron Gonads replied to Glasgow_Saint's topic in The Saints
Yes, and they also wisely bought players with premiership experience after promotion, something that we failed to do and would pay dearly for according to the usual planks here. -
I look forward to seeing how Boruc fairs behind Fox, Hooiveld, Lovren and Chambers

January 2014 Transfer news & rumours
Golac's Iron Gonads replied to Glasgow_Saint's topic in The Saints
Get a couple of loans in and save the money for after the World Cup where we'll find a couple of diamonds in amongst the less fancied teams, Costa Rica will probably have a couple of centre backs no one has heard of that will look incredible against England. -
GAZZANIGA is Spanish for colossus. Boruc's days are numbered. And the planks will be proved wrong.
-
Gazzaniga out quickly, snuffs out another attack,
-
Gazzaniga out well, left up poop creek by the defender
-
Save! Save! Save! Gazzaniga saves a screaming blistering shot from Aguero, he'll be needing the savlon at half time!
-
Not negative enough to be authentic, need to go deep into how certain problems have been apparent for the last 2 years, and this result will be the one that sends us spiralling down into the conference.
-
I've stuck the entirety of my betting account funds on a Man City win, not so much because we are without Boruc, Wanyama, Clyne and possibly others but because they are without our biggest weapon Gareth Barry. Make me cry and curse you Saints!

Gazzaniga what are his strengths and weaknesses?
Golac's Iron Gonads replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
Davis, he that was unfancied by Atkins who couldn't decide on Gazzanaga or Boric, didn't really matter when they were stuck behind Fochs, Hoyveld, Fontay and Klein. -
Gazzaniga what are his strengths and weaknesses?
Golac's Iron Gonads replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
The Newcastle game last year, can remember one save from that match, and according to the match stats Newcastle had 3 shots on goal yet scored none, I guess the other 2 were blocked by Hooiveld. A statistic that was often bandied about by the media before our recent losses was that, of all the premiership teams, we had allowed the fewest shots on goal, has that aided people's impression of how good Boruc is? Or was it a result of his magical confidence exuding into the defence in front of him, if so I think that pretty much evaporated after the Stoke bounce and Emirates dribble. As for Davies, he gets beat on his near post frequently and won't come for crosses. Anyone contemplating his return to the first team should have rewatch of our mauling last year at Arsenal. -
Gazzaniga what are his strengths and weaknesses?
Golac's Iron Gonads replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
Strengths: Doesn't attempt Cruyff turns when being closed down by an attacker, has good distribution and everything CanadaSaint said. Weaknesses: Inexperienced and indecisive, needs to be a little more aggressive in the box. Still think he is going to turn into a good keeper, but needs to be playing games, if not for us then out on loan, needs to be learning in matches not training. -
Post Match Reaction: SAINTS 2-3 Aston Villa
Golac's Iron Gonads replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
11 days ago we could have gone top with a fluke win at Arsenal, look at the gap now. Things have changed quickly, played decently enough and could have won but for a wonder goal. Squad looking thin for a top 6 side, but then we aren't a top 6 side but we are heading that way.
