If a scapegoat is a player that many see as having cost us a game on numerous occasions I'd say Gennoe/Wells, Benali, Paul Jones, Kelvin, and Fox all have good claims. Of those I'd say Fox and Benali were liabilities in the top flight and possibly Kelvin, but Leeds away, Leeds away!

Wanyama was a beast again, but with silky touches today. RESULT!
-
The 8-0 was special but somewhat tainted by how bad Sunderland were that day, also I wasn't there. I was at the Emirates though for the cup game, and Clyne's goal is my moment, great player, great goal, great night. Reminds me of Golac, only this bloke's better.
-
Our best hope is Ivanovic giving us a penalty, and getting himself sent off in the process, in the opening 10 mimutes, and Costa limping off after 20.
-
Nice one Mane. Made it look easy.
-
and can we play on a ****ing Saturday again please!
-
If you can't beat rubbish like this then you don't deserve to be in the top 4. Gutted, should have had 4 points from these 3 games against the big boys, going to end up with 0. ****ing useless.

Yeah, I'm fairly sure it was in some French Football rag a couple of months ago and mentioned on this very site. Nice that it's dragged up again the day before we play the champions, someone couldn't be trying to throw a few spanners in the works could they?

Robbie Savage - Why its time to take Saints seriously
Golac's Iron Gonads replied to TopGun's topic in The Saints
Sadly I don't think we'll ever see an article 'Why it is time to take Robbie Savage seriously'. Unless he's holed up in bunker threatening the lives of Adrian Durham and Andy Townsend, even then I'd be inclined to ignore him and let him get on with it. -
Flying out to South Korea for a new job at bloody 9pm tomorrow, might catch 20/30 minutes of the first half in a bar, but won't find out the result for 11 very long hours. Will be the first thing I do upon landing, make me smile Saints! And do so by being 3 up against 10 men by the 22nd minute.

FFS Benteke and Ramirez both got themselves sent off against Spurs when their sides were winning 1-0, both end up costing their teams. 'holes.
-
Did Levy and Taider get a vote?
-
Bingo!
-
With Big Vic's Kenya already out of the African cup of Nations qualifying, we could really do with Senegal losing to Egypt on Saturday, will still need other results to go our way to keep Mane here for games against Man U, Newcastle and Swansea. (17th Jan - 8 Feb)

So where exactly are Lambert and Lovren watching this game from?
-
Jack Wilshere.
-
Bloody Benteke cost us 3 karmic points there. On the plus side, possibly he'll be missing for the Villa game.
-
I really hope so, but the quitters this summer showed that most players don't have much imagination, and rather than sticking a pipe bomb up the collective backside of the big teams and Premier league would prefer to slope off and sign for them.
-
The fact he can also play left back makes me very keen for us to make it permanent, but I fear if he has a good season personal terms won't be agreed and he'll sign for one of those teams with heavy shirts.
-
You ****ing enjoying this from the bench Adam? Big ol European nights you ****s.
-
I expect Morgan and probably Clyne will go, a lot will depend on where we finish this season, top 6 and we may hold on to a few more and attract higher quality. But I'd rather we didn't repeat this summer just gone, because you can't sustain that. Financially you can, but the team needs some continuity.
-
Based on that performance I'll be surprised if he's not our number one left back by the end of the season.
-
Lovely end to the weekend, Shaw sat on his fat rich arse watching a 5-3 drubbing and Pochettino surely hearing some grumbles from disgruntled Spurs fans who've now watched 2 consecutive home losses and with no goals scored into the bargain. Man Utd are going to be right in the ****e financially if they fail to qualify for the Champions league again. Nice! Bloody nice!

Looked very assured, comfortable on the ball, brought it out of defence into their half on a few occasions, passing was kept simple and accurate, but he was playing against 10 men, and no recognised forward. I was quietly impressed though, certainly looks like competition for Alderweireld.
