Houghton - sheepish clap of hands to fans? From lallana
-
**** Houghton saying Lallana and Shaw deffo gone
-
I imagine pap would be angry about that. Their love was supposed to be platonic.
-
Got tickets from Gary on here - cheers mate! My 12 year old boy enjoyed the atmosphere, but was gutted we didn't score - we came over from Oz and The Saints didn't score!
-
The only Pompey mate I have just wants to have a club to support. I don't really know AFL, but the crowds and atmosphere are up there, or above, with big EPL clashes. Like OP said, soccer has some supporters, but you might find only a fratton park crowd at a big game (apart from Mel Heart vs Mel Vic - proper 40K derby). So 10-15K. Yeah, I don't really understand the hate, as I was pleased when Pompey (and indeed Plymouth) went on cup runs in the 80s/90s, albeit with a patronising 'look at the plucky pompey while were Div1' point of view. Now that Saints have been though the mill, we should probably be a bit more open hearted to our neighbours.

Interesting read, written really badly and with bad grammar. (Topic dilution). What it says is THE MAN wants us all to be like the elite classes in Hunger Games, endlessly discussing completely vacuous subjects, or esle slaves. That's what the stooge mods are working towards on every forum, everywhere.

:ikewise, totally gutted for the lad - seems serious, but hopefully not

I'm luvvin'their post goal huggin'

For the next rigged election, I propose new member Goat 'The' Boy as MVP. I am liking his incessant, though unemotional nit picking on GSBS unlove squad. Tokyo, your position is in doubt. Also, DickC, I posted exactly the same thread a couple of months ago. Please be patient, there's only four of these dudes creating humorous crap for the rest of us to be amused about. This thread will sink like a stone as we're about to play. I'm going to have to go to bed after the first ten minutes -
-
Cheers GB. I am debating whether to stay up til 3am to watch this, given I've got an 8am appointment. I am also wondering whether your admirable tilting at GS makes yourself one of his personae, given your recent join date?!?
-
My old gran used to say that you shouldn't set your ambitions too high, so you wont get disappointed. This is the attitude we need at the club. My Gran should be CEO, except she's dead. Wouldn't find talk of Champions League from her, it would be 16th and a nice cup of tea.

Hey, having read through a GS strokeathon, I find some interesting comments about performances on the third and fourth pages. Stroke on, GS!
-
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.

Didn't want to mention on the other thread, but I think Baz may have gripped Pap and his partner. Pap's got to spout the sweet stuff, god knows for how long. He may have even put them into binbags after getting Pap's SWF password (as well as all his bank accounts and more important stuff like Twitter). Bear, this thread should be 'Bearsy Investigates' - think about it, it's a novel idea.
-
Well, Ramirez is a good player from the bench. It is 3am in Oz and I am stupidly about to watch the game. I will be happy with a point, not surprised with none and ecstatic with 3
-
COYS - hacked off in Oz about the late kick off, might find myself watching one of the other games and pulling an all nighter. Should I? Shouldn't I? Kids soccer Sunday at 12pm=4.5 hours sleep, sounds tempting!
-
I wondered why the are so many saints references on that web site!
-
Well, he's gone. When I looked this up, I always thought he was the director of the Evil Dead films and thought this was a nice contrast. Then I realised I had been thinking about Rick Moranis (also in Ghostbusters, so an equally nice contrast). Then I realise it was Sam Raimi, who I didn't recognise. I've basically spent the last 25 years thinking Rick Moranis is Sam Raimi, and it took Harold Ramis dying for me to figure it out.

that would be e.g. gay bear is he -
By the way, I really get annoyed at whingy people in general. At work, they tend to get sacked, because they don't put on the right face. If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. A glib statement, but one which does cover off most of the 'annoying clan'.
-
Haven't read this whole thread, but feel this is the point of it. Not even in a pub - but in the ground - not that I've beeen for a while - but there are people who whinge at the ground (look at leagueoneminus10 blog) and these people really pi5 5 me off. Doesn't mean that you have to be happy at the way the team play, just that your personality is a whingey one. Football is the place for personality disorders to congregate. (over excited/violent, over suicidal).

Would've liked Big V in the team- at best performance level.

All that non-muppet stuff is actually really fascinating, speaking as one of quite a few wordists on this forum (you may say pedant). Interesting that it is called NLP, as I do believe you use the other NLP when leading your flock of performing seals in the Muppet Show! :-) I meant frequency ordered lists of words or proponderance analysis but I didn't want to lower the tone, and I was just trying to be funny, which I am actually incapable of. That's why I like the muppet show, to remind myself of what humour is.
