  1. Can someone tell the forces that be to make it an afternoon kick off for those of us on the other side of the world? I mean midday, if that's not too much trouble
  2. Yep, it's good - honest and can be related to. I've read your blog a few times, but not been that interested (sorry) - this seems a lot more engaging. I was 'anyone but Saints' until I was about 10 as a rebellion against my dad, but came round in the end. Me and my brother had an LP of the 77 final between ManU and Liverpool (can you believe it!) and we used to listen to it together - him ManU, me Liverpool. Now we're both solid Saints, as are our kids! I also had a Leeds top, as I was Tony Currie because of that goal vs Saints. I still am. In my head.
  3. Welsh prop forward
  4. Interesting he faced his former club on the first day of the season when he moved to FC Twente. Twente won 4-0.
  5. I am so glad we have our kit compared to that garish shi,te!
  6. I'm expatriate but bot HNW. The ex is tho!
  7. In the highly unlikely event that Katharina knows about, reads and cares about this poxy website, it is worth reminding her how astounded and grateful we are to her father for rescuing our club. He seemed to be cut from a different cloth to other megalomaniac owners or dodgy hedge funds. We don't hear or see much from her, but Markus seemed to avoid the limelight as well. I think she is an honourable woman and I'm sure Katharina will see this club right in memory of her dad.
  8. Hope we can get BV, Cork, Chambers, Clyne, Davies and JWP all on the field together.
  9. Bit of a cowmaid face, however
  10. The winner (kativava?) has nice knockers. And great strokes, obivously.
  11. Anyway, I and my Dad loved the stripes and hope it is decent quality, I suppose we'll find out in due course. I emailed a message in the All Saints game programme (vs Hull) - when I saw it, I realised I could've put lots more words and a photo.
  12. Overly formal, I do understand! Just ben dealing with it for ages, Solicitors, relatives, hangers on, knob heads. Can't see the woods for the trees! I do remember going up from Devon to Southampton in the back of our dad's Hillman estate - seatbelts? seats? No, just rolling around with the luggage!
  13. Ah, you bastard! Think about it, the estate wouldn't have existed if the old bugger hadn't already shuffled off his mortal coil. I said it to my son (not in those terms) in order to make a lasting connection with him and his late grandad. In reality, the few grand left from my dad is the only opportunity to splash on this sort of stuff, so I think it is fitting. I'm not offended, mate, and the lad will treat the new kit with the reverence it deserves!
  14. I promised my son a full kit from his Grandad's estate. To be honest, I am happy that the old kit wasn't available when we tried a couple of months back (though we did order a Junior Medium kit which fits a 7 year old, not a 10 year old). So I am chuffed to go the whole hog with this kit, yep Stoke Sunderland etc, but whenever I saw them in the last couple of years, I wished it was Saints playing in the stripes. Now we are!
  15. I know he's injured, but J-Rod looks a little porky in that picture, definitely skipping this one for myself. However, 100% for the lad, I think he'd struggle to understand the stripes if he hadn't watched so many Le Tiss vids. Also as Southampton manager in FIFA, he had no hesitation in offloading almost the entire squad for better players, despite hero worshipping them in real life (think Sharp is the only one remaining as bench warmer). Now his team has won everything, even on hard setting, he assures me!
  16. Well, maybe. Too much analysis on the board. Fkit, I am looking forward to the next season already - shouting at my telly at 2am - loving watching my team,my dad's team, my grandad's team, my brother's team, my son's team. S(H)AINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. COME ON YOU SHAINTS!!!!
  18. Spose I have to accept the Adam hate. Don't feel it myself, but whatever. 14 years, he says, fari enough to the lad. He's done some great things with us last season, but was often frustrating prior. If he conjures up some pace from somewhere, he will be awesome for LFC.
  19. Picks Lallana confirmation (quickly)
  20. Strangely, arse is trending at the moment

    Osvaldo

This is a new broom now, sweeping clean. We have to start from fresh and, unless Koemann has personal experience of him, I should hope he'd want to look him over. All previous team ethos is gone and this may be a chance to rebuild.
  22. Are you able to 'monetize' this?
  23. It's actually quite fascinating, though I was sceptical. However, I would have thought Watson and Lee may have made some impact?
