GUARDIAN: Sadio Mané leading the golden generation of Senegal
tpbury replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Ha, MCFC equalise after geriatric Damien Duff does an amazing cut back, avoiding all his team mates except Villa, who finishes well. Maybe the Oz players are sh.t after all. -
GUARDIAN: Sadio Mané leading the golden generation of Senegal

Just been watching Central Coast Mariners vs Newcastle here in even minnower Oz. His name sake and compatriot Malick Mane seemed to playing a similar energetic and threatening style, though didn't see any diving. He looks more strongly built, but almost as fast - difficult to tell. I do wonder whether the A-league is a bit underrated from a scouting point of view. It's sometimes crap, but Melbourne Victory had 30K for their first game (featuring Besart Berisha, who seems to have failed at Burnley) - 90K showed up for Liverpool last year. I wonder how these Senegalese players grew up. whether they were privileged and whether there is a coaching style there which encourages attacking play. Anyway - David Villa has come on for Man City franchise Melbourne City (previously Heart until bought by the Sheikh - think on that Hull fans!). They go a goal down to Sydney, who are playing in the Man city home kit, whereas Melbourne City ('MCFC') are in red and white stripes. I'm confused, but it was a great strike! -
I am not race, some of my best friends are Japan.

What about just parking in the middle of the road with hazards on? Don't know how busy it is, but as the traffic build up, you can point the irate punters to the lodge, perhaps neglecting to mention it's your car which is blocking the road.

How Nathaniel Clyne became a professional footballer
tpbury replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
A quite direct appeal, in fact a demand, that Clyne et al go back and do some inspiring! -
Wish we could've equalised. Not the end of the world. Played OK Brooks was here

The Finsbury Park Diet – Not for faint hearted -- Thanks Arsenal

Did someone ask for this thread to be killed? I think there was a your instead of you're in there somewhere. Also wouldn't a couple of well known night ladies specialising in ballsack and member manipulation be called a popular beat combo? -

Basically, the most positive opinions were based on hope, and most fans were beginning to suspect the worst case scenario might have been true. Not sure about the context of Jonesuu comment, but it seems reasonable to me. 'Hope' is a more legitimate word than 'faith' when talking about a relatively new board of directors. Having demonstrated they're able to manage choppy waters, I think we can now have 'faith' in them. Therefore, future pant stainers should be very circumspect before they open their figurative gobs.

I'd like us to go out of the dressing room as a whole team, rather than in dribs and drabs.

Well, it's certainly an interesting article, but may only be 'good' because it portrays the club in a very positive light, no doubt because the club is a source of all the new info. I do hope it's true. Also, it's good to see some posters (including myself) coming from under the covers to post on the main board. When it's all negative, it gets a bit intimidating to post an opinion when you're not ITK.

Ta for that. I suppose her hotness is by the by, but I'm sure there's plenty of girls who watch MOTD for Shearer.
-
I am probably miles behind the curve here, but have been watching MOTD2. There's Motty, a couple of blokes and a super hot girl who knows her football stuff. She's played the game, but I can't find her name, I'm guessing she's an England player. Why is it so difficult?

When Wenger first arrived, people were taking the **** out of his wacky, foreign 'dance moves' training, but I recall he was later praised for the reduction in injuries. Perhaps he's not hands on enough any more.
-
The Australian Prime Minister, Tony Abbot, recently referred to the 'Death Cult', referring to the people who behead people in Syria/Iraq. This bloke is normally a complete jerk, but I like the way his advisors have found a term which is not religiously loaded. I am not sure if this a consistent approach, but it seems sensible to not acknowledge these people as Islamists, Muslims etc, thereby casting regular muslims as being in favour.

Not many people post on this thread, but plenty read the blog. I am still waiting for the geographical breakdown Billy!

You're going home like Sandy (?) Richardson (?) - the bloke in a wheelchair out of Crossroads. Charming. Can't claim to have heard it at Saints, but was not oggy oggy oggy oi oi oi a bit of a staple?

a chat on the sofa with Katharina on Saturday
tpbury replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
Does she really? I'd love it if our owner rolled her own - supposedly much less unhealthy. -
Loved the pep talk he was giving to Clyne (and apologies if it wasn't Clyne, I watch these games at 2am having been drinking for 6 hours, so not everything sticks in the brain)

2 decent chances. Don't know how Mane knocked out Sandros
-
He got a similar one for Sheff U years ago!
-
Agree with that - he stuck his arm well in the air

We had the same record as now after 5 games, were sitting 4th (behind Millwall and Norwich). Finished 13th, with a certain amount of nervousness at the end of the season, as I recall. All the other stuff I looked up.
