Think Dixon's is higher quality - he had time and space, picked his spot and turned his back after the shot, confident that he had made the pass back.

Well, we've had incarnations of Saints which like to rough it up, so we can't really complain!
-
Does anyone actually know if there is a panel - these opinions are immaterial if a decision is actually made by someone, somewhere.

Whenever I see 'thrashing' in a headline, I expect at least 4-0, but it seems this has been downgraded to 3-0. I thought the appropriate cliche was humiliation (as stated above), but I see more 'Demolition' in the headlines (also, as above). Personally, I think humiliation is worse than demolition, so I would go with that. However, as we see the continual erosion of the power of cliche (have we got to 200% effort yet?), perhaps the correct level of hyperbole is annihilation (again, as above). I should think resident swots Bletch and Follwyd should contribute here.

Thanks for the gif link!

Bearpo - can we can you? Seal you within a can? After all these years, I imagine you must be approaching 40, or at least 29. Always rage against the dying of the light, mate. You are the soul of this forum. Everyone loves you, but would hate hate you if you sold out like True Geordie, who's much funnier. Actually, I do think you are a funny free thinker.

Saints 8 (Eight) Sunderland 0 - Match and Reactions

It's pretty hard to drink more pints than your team scored - so congrats! -

Like San Fran hot lunch? As the sun comes up in Oz, I would consider it. If we got this result every week, otherwise no! However, Sunderland were really crap. I watched the immense defence and midfield and attack of Man City (vs Spurs). This result gives me enthusiasm, but a draw vs Man City or Chelsea would seal the deal. -

Cheers to you mate. Mine a year ago - this result would probably have finished him off anyway! Best wishes and contact the club soon if you want a picture/eulogy in the nearest game to 1st November. I mean in the programme... -

As with all others with problem streams - consider Anal Probe! -
As I have a tendency to kill threads, perhaps this will be the last post. :-) I don't think I posted much in the summer - was worrying a lot, along with much of us. I resented people who said 'keep the faith' as much as those, many of whom who have responded vociferously to bumps, who were being d1 ckish. There are two kinds of response to 'bed wetters' - ignore, or become embroiled in their anger/emotional immaturity. We are about to kick off, and I am incredibly excited, as always - this is what watching a football match should be like. Even if we were doing shiite. Always the hope, always the anticipation. What will happen? WE DON'T KNOW!!! None of us know.

Just some more Dortmund love-in. Have to say I would be tempted to pop over... http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/29624410

Oh well, the message I'm getting here is that women should stick to washing up?

I'm happy to watch any level of football, whether on the telly (where there's a fair amount of women's football shown here in Oz), or even the 4 year olds who play before my kids' matches. It's the competitiveness, not the skill, that draws me in. I wonder if you have a daughter, Sour Mash, and whether you would pour scorn on her efforts to get to the highest football level she could?

Hmm, architecture. Hmmm, Gherkin! -
For those who are serious about their history

I used to think deeply on this as a teenager. About why we should feel the pain of dead and maimed of the Napoleonic wars just as acutely as, say, the Falklands. I think it was reading Slaughterhouse 5 with the Tralfamadorians that did it. If Kurt Vonnegut was president of the world, we would all live in peace! (even though he's dead) -

I was thinking about a 12 year old's perspective. Events which we might consider recent are studied as history - Falklands/Gulf War etc. -

Interesting to see that there's 12 year olds going to Ypres - very impressed, in fact. For those 40ish it is the same as learning about the Boer war, I guess. That is, a long way back in time. I hope and suppose all the clubs will be doing something similar. I'm glad that Duncan et al are welcomed back at the club! -
I have a concern that he'll wheel out Clyne and Forster (plus other 2nd stringers) to get kicked round the park by the Scots

By 'eck Turkish, spoken from the heart. As a former inmate - I mean resident - of the cosmopolitan megalopolis of Elland, nestled between the twin jewels of Halifax and Huddersfield, I can only endorse your glowing eulogy to god's own frikkin country. An you're welcome - you really are welcome to it. Honestly, the countryside there is magnificent, but it is full of so many arrogant, self righteous nob ends who assume you share their casual racism, I'm glad to be out of there. Mind, you probably fit in just fine! ;-)

Ta for that. I had oc course done a search, but couldn't find it and it had started to bug me. To Pap - isn't wet wipes the modern solution to avoiding being taken for someone engaged in a dirty protest? Surely this must have occurred to you at some point in your adult life? I can only assume you get too much pleasure from this charming and messy post copral ritual.

I did the exact same with thing at two of my mates - I only have 4 mates, so I guess I am really well liked. Can you let me know the word for blinking wich sounds like micturating - can't find it. Ta
-
Simple plan - 5 hit on the toilet and pis5 in the shower. As we have the greatest minds of TMS here - can anyone reveal the word which means blinking?
-
Well, I did time at UEA and can guarantee that spunk is the major cause of blocked pipes there. I **** whenever I have a shower - it's autosomatic.

Ha! When I first saw your post, I looked up public transport in the Lake District, as I've never used it (despite going there several times): http://www.lakedistrict.gov.uk/visiting/planyourvisit/travelandtransport I would recommend Was****er on account of it being relatively quiet - don't know if the busses go there. - blimey - W a s t w a t e r What prompted me to reply was the Villa away game last season was my big 'event' after travelling from Oz - a turgid 0-0 non event - hope it goes better for you! Where abouts abroad are you anyway?
