Great stat!
-
Can we stop the commentator's curses now please? Still 30 minutes to play, anything could happen.
-
City win and a United win please! That way City can't be caught by Arsenal and City's match against us means nothing to them.

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 6-1 Aston Villa
richard replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I'm going to stick my neck out and say that Gazza had a good game. Not at fault for the goal and didn't make any mistakes otherwise. -

****. Saints really slipped up today in the battle to avoid Europa next season. -
First reaction was disappointment because we could easily have won today. Can't be unhappy long though because we're having an awesome season and I think next season could be even better.

http://www.reddit.com/r/SaintsFC Just realised it will not look like this forever. It looked like this for all of today so far:
-
I'm not panicking but I would reaaally like to finish above Spurs.
-
I've got six. Well, they're just eggs at the moment. I'm sure they will hatch though because I've kept them in the fridge so they are fresh.
-
Excellent, well played.

What about: Manchester Sh1tty and Untied, Worst Brom, Bumley and Stroke?
-
So, just to recap: The team has been struggling to score goals. One of the most senior midfielders says they need to make more driving runs, and the captain says we need to be willing to take a shot from distance because hey, you never know. JWP does both of those things, and the upshot is that we score at home for the first time since NYD. Your conclusion is that he doesn't deserve any credit for helping to make the goal. I'm sure that everyone involved with the club really appreciates your support, thanks.
-
You missed him making the run that made the goal then?
-
So is there anything related to Rodgers in the word search?
-
I expect they'll be happy if they win.

Saints 1 Palace 0 - Post Match Nerve Reconstruction
richard replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Pelle is a confidence player. Koeman is thinking that showing a bit of faith might get repaid with the Pelle from a few months ago coming back. Personally I think he needs a bit of competition for his position, and for someone else in the team to take the pressure off him by contributing with some goals. Step forward Mane / Long. -

Also credit to Long for bollocking everyone for not following the ball into the box. -

****ing happy with a scrappy 1-0 after the run we've had. Team can relax in CH and there's no pressure on the next game. On we march! Or something. -
Liebherr, Krueger and Koeman taking Saints to Switzerland
richard replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Planning is a bit weird on this one: Team is a bit fed up because we've lost a few in a row - All go on on holiday, come back relaxed and raring to go - Team gets d1cked by Chelsea - Team is a bit fed up. -
We are having the best season I can remember. The last few results have been pretty disappointing because it feels like we're so close to a really special finish but that it might be slipping away. However, all things considered, this season is brilliant.
-
Fair enough, those are good points. My take is that he's a good finisher and might have been able to take some of the pressure off of Pelle by either playing every 2nd/3rd game or coming on for the last 25 minutes of games. Might have been a bit of an expensive sub though.

In previous comments on this thread people have been trying to suggest players that we could have signed in the january transfer window. Jermaine Defoe is one such player.
-
Right, which they did in the january transfer window. We could have been looking for a striker in the january transfer window and offered him a more enticing second half of the season - no relegation battle and the chance of europe. I think he could have been a good move for us.

What about Defoe?
