Maybe they'll rest Aguero on Sunday. He looked pretty tired tonight.
-
He played Targett in the Cup games, and JWP before his injury.
-
We won't beat United and Arsenal to his signature, and £31m seems a bit out of our price bracket. Maybe he would come here on a loan to show off his skills to the big teams though.
-
It's going to be quite funny on here if we actually lose.
-
Left back passing to right back goal!
-
We're just having a bad game. It happens.

Do you really believe that the reason that Man Utd, Liverpool etc are so strong is because they sell 3000 away tickets and other clubs only sell 2000? The amount of money into their coffers is pathetic. Even home attendance income is getting less important because the TV income is getting so high. If we have sustained success playing the sort of football we're playing now, more people will want to watch us (all over the world, not just live) and we'll get more money. Taking an extra 500 to Villa will have no impact. "3 years of CL" wasn't a prediction, just a hypothetical.
-
That's not really about how committed fans of those teams are - just hosw many of them there are. 3 years of champs league in a row and we'll have enough JCLs to make up the numbers. Also, see how long United have that sort of following if their current mediocrity continues.

Agree that City vs Swansea is the best 3.00 kick-off. Arsenal vs United is the big one though obviously.

There's no Southampton game until Monday. What results do we want in the other games? Saturday Chelsea V West Brom Away win - Keep the dream alive! Everton V West Ham Home win - Make some distance between us and the pack. Leicester V Sunderland Home win - just a sympathy vote. Man City V Swansea Draw - again, some distance from the pack. Newcastle V QPR Home win - result not relevant but prefer Pardew to HR. Stoke V Burnley Away win - sympathy vote and pack distance. Arsenal V Man Utd Draw - possibly both our direct competition for that fourth spot! This is a weird thing to have to write. Sunday Crystal Palace V Liverpool Home win. Hull V Tottenham Home win, 5 or 6 - 0.

I don't think he'll be going anywhere in January, because according to the link below, "He’s had a minor setback with a bit of swelling on his knee so we’ve toned down his recovery programme but he’s on target for a return in late January or early February." (Quoting Les Reed). http://footballfriends.biz/writersblog/single/how-the-saints-landed-ronald-koeman-and-how-their-number-one-fan-loves-life-near-the-top

That arsenal article basically says "They need to sign Wanyama."
-
Yep, it's a mystery to me too. I thought Lovren was really good when he was here.
-
Nearly a perfect set of results this weekend, to help us stay in the top four!
-
I'll be surprised if Jay wants to leave to go to a mid-table side that thinks it should be top four. Why not just stay at a top four side?

Copied from the other thread because I didn't know we were starting a new thread for this every week: We've got a 7 point lead on anyone outside the top 5. The only teams outside that group that I think can go on a storming run and climb the table are Man Utd, Liverpool and Tottenham. One of them is certainly going to click at some point, maybe Liverpool when Sturridge is fit or Man Utd when they can field a back four who are playing in their preferred positions. If we're going to stay in that top 5 group we want to see West Ham dropping away (probably replaced by Liverpool / United) and the other three / two to continue drawing / losing. Oh and we need to keep winning. So this weekend: Sat 8 Nov 2014 - Premier League Liverpool v Chelsea Draw Burnley v Hull Hopefully irrelevant but I'd like Burnley to get a win out of pity. Man Utd v Crystal Palace Away win Southampton v Leicester COYR! Home win West Ham v Aston Villa Away win QPR v Man City Home win Sun 9 Nov 2014 - Premier League Sunderland v Everton Home win Tottenham v Stoke Away win West Brom v Newcastle Draw Swansea v Arsenal Draw

If you offered me having to beat City on the last day to stay second I'd snap your hand off for it, and not in a Lallana-y way.

Relax everyone, I've solved the Morgan song problem...

It's good, and I like it. Swap "Looking for the victim shivering in bed" for "Scoring a goal with his feet or his head" Wait, has he ever scored with his head? -
I was fine until Rickie said his last bit. Always going to be a Saints legend for me.
-
I think it also has to do with the big teams not really showing up this season. Chelsea and possibly City apart, the usual top eight are playing badly, which leaves a gap in the table that we can jump into. Long may it continue!

Will Roko and the board go for broke in January!!!
richard replied to Bermuda Saint's topic in The Saints
Well I agree with all that, just think we need this season and next before we can even have a chance of getting a respectable scoreline. Two transfer windows between then and now, but I want to see how far this team can go. Just need a couple more to cover injuries. Exciting times to be a saints fan! -

It's unlikely, but not impossible. Why did you pick up on that minor point, instead of addressing the main thrust of my post, which was that europa league would be a better target for us even if we could qualify for champion's league?
